This place has been around forever, and they still have the same decor, lazy waiters that stand in the corner watching their phones instead of the customers. It is so disappointing as I used to enjoy this place so much, but not anymore. The menu...is the same for as long as I know it and there are things on the menu they haven't served in 3 years. I had overcooked steaks that were cold when they came out. Extremely oily house salad, and now the bread is half the size it used to be. Waiters don't smile, don't greet you, it is like they are doing you a favor because they are there. You will have to wave down someone and hope they are not on whatsapp. This was the most depressing dinner I have ever eaten in Panama. It was like they were closed for so long due to the panademic, but were mad they had to go back to work. Might be time for refreshing ownership as restaurants in Panama City have passed this dinasaur. Too many great and inventive restaurants that want your business to go to. A firm pass, and goodbye to a restaurant that wont change a thing.More

This is not a classy restaurant. It is dingy, and has a poor menu. I did not have steak, but my friend who loves steak said it was OK. I had fish which was again just OK. The sides are minimal and the desserts come...on a cart. The one thing that was nice was the bread. When the bill came it was asking for 20%. This is something that I have never seen before. Our taxi driver told us that it was very popular with Solicitors, and Doctor’s and other professionals . All I can say is that they must have too much money.More

I like to grill out at home and usually do not eat out at a steakhouse. However, I have eaten many steaks at restaurants and have to say that Gaucho's served me the best steak that I have eaten in a restaurant. The service was...also very good. I would recommend the 16oz ribeye.More

Amazing service, perfectly cooked filet. Our group didn’t have a reservation but they were able to fit us in. Service was quick and food came out quick also. Recommend this place to everyone.

Felt like a steak restaurant. Friendly server. Great presentation of steak/meats pre-ordering. Mushroom salad nicely done. Skirt steak and ribeye very good, as was the chimichurri (sp?) sauce (fantastic sauce, actually). Coconut flan good. Coffee good too. Was a very good, but not great meal....Can’t say the steaks were among the best I’ve had; as fell short of steaks I had in Argentina, Chile, and several name-brand steakhouses in Texas.More

Terrific steaks (fish and chicken also available) accompanied by potatoes and bread and with lots of good Chilean, Argentinean, Uruguayan and Spanish wine options to accompany. Not cheap ($150USD for 3 courses x 2 adults with a boatel elf wine) but a very good meal...and good service too.More

We went to Gaucho's for our last dinner during our Panama trip. I guess we saved the best for last! The steaks tasted amazing and were cooked to perfection. Portions were so big we had enough leftovers for a steak and eggs breakfast the following...day! We also had ceviche as an appetizer and passion fruit pie for dessert. Everything was delicious. Last but not least, customer service was impeccable. Definitely worth a visit.More

We began with really good Margaritas and then ordered a Caesar salad and the Especial Gaucho Choice 20 ounce steak to split between us. The steak was really delicious especially with the Chimichurri sauce and the bread was excellent as well. We liked the atmosphere...and the waiter as well. Highly recommended!More
