While staying in Panama City, my girlfriend and I found out about Mentiritas Blancas from its positive TripAdvisor reviews. We went there for brunch, and the environment was casual and fun. From the design and feel of the place, it seems like you would sit...down first and pay a check at the end, but you actually order and pay at the register first. The food was delicious, and the employees were very kind. The pancakes were the best we've ever had... arguably anywhere in the world. I also had the dish 'El Criminal' and it was very good too. It was such a great experience, we returned a second time on our last day before heading to the airport. Also, the prices are unbeatable. At least, compared to brunch in the U.S.More

I found this place with the help of Trip Advisor. The avocado toast and Donkey Kong waffles were EXCELLENT. Everything was like farm to table fresh.

During our 17 day stay we went in this fantastic little coffee shop several times for the excellent food. The place was over full a couple of times due to its popularity demonstrating they could clearly move to a larger location. Currently seats about 25-30...and is consistently in overflow lol Great fresh food for breakfast and lunch, never went for dinner, excellent coffee and tea. Order at the till, they’ll give you a table marker for your table and they’ll bring it to your table when ready. Staff is all young and entrepreneurial with outstanding service. They do speak English for those of us language impaired :) The clientele are all ages and mainly foreigners due to the relatively high cost and they’re friendly, sharing tables and conversation freely. Highly recommended.More

I had a small salad with chicken, almonds, feta cheese, apple and lettuces with a cranberry vinaigrette that was delicious. I went back but I had forgotten that they were closed on Mondays.

I came here because I wanted a break from fried food. I had the veggie bowl and it's exactly what I needed. I also had a chocolate chip cookie, which was divine. I came twice and both times it was packed. I ordered to go....I also bought coffee beans here. Although it's packed, service was friendly and efficient. I highly recommend.More

Best coffee in Panama. And that's no lie. Panaderia artesanal creada por craftmen y verdaderos amantes del cafe, del cine y del arte. If You have taste, buds (sic) You gotta try some of their gourmet homemade cookies. For me it gives a run for...it's money to their competitors. Real coffee alchemists. By Eduardo Young. Our guide Gorin from Casco Experience recommended this cafe and suggested we try the Geisha coffee a high end coffee that should be drank without any additions like milk, sugar or sugar substitute this coffee is 6 dollars a cup and was served in a...carafe and a wine glass shaped to maximize the coffees aroma. Staff were very friendly and service oriented. They knew the neighborhood locals and greeted hem by name. Free WiFi great vibe and pretty busy @10:30 am during the week. When I move to Panama this will be my neighborhood cafe.More
