My girlfriend and I had the best experience in this restaurant, in the city of San Salvador! The owner Lissette welcomed us ,sat with us and over nice conversation helped us choose the perfect Italian wine for our dinner. If we didn't like the first...wine she suggested, she said not to worry she would open another one for us to try. 2nd bottle was perfect. She sits with you and tells you what is available to eat for the evening. It was the best pasta we have had! I highly recommend going here! Thank you Lissette for the best night out ever ❣More

It was amazing. We were outside, which I think they could do something special, little lights on or plants. But it was still really nice. You can't do Italian (or any other good meal) without wine. They have a good wine menu. Good selection, but...a bit expensive. They chef, is THE best. She came to us and gave us the menu (with this I mean, she said the whole thing). I would recommend to have an actual written cart where you can take the time reading and not having the pressure of a person in front of you waiting for you to make a decision. Although she is really nice, so friendly, I would tell you that is the main complaint about the place. Written menu. I had mushrooms and Spanish sausage pasta. Delicious. The prawns pasta was amazing too. Service could be better as they took soooo long even to ask what we wanted. I went to the toilet a couple of times, the man was on his phone... Not good. You can tell the chef and owner are doing their best and it shows. Great restaurant. One of the top two in the city. Would I go back? No question. YES!More

This little restaurant is a real secret Italian treasure, located in the middle of San Salvador. Having only a handful of tables, all food is freshly prepared by the owner and Chef Lisette Cromeyer, a Salvadorian Lady with Italian temper. There is no menu which...you can choose from, Lisette comes to each table and explains in a very friendly way, what she can prepare for you on that day...so 100% freshness guarantee. Furthermore Lisette also runs her own wine business, focusing on Italian wine of course, which means beside a lovely meal you can enjoy an even more lovely glass of Italian wine. Totally different approach than you expect from a restaurant, but definitely more charming and excellent taste. Will come back once I am around again!More

This small restaurant is located in zona rosa, they have a really nice selection of italian wines. The pasta is spectacular, all dishes are prepared on order and they use really fresh sea food on their dishes. You will get to meet the owner, who...is very delightful and knowledgeable about wines and her food. It is highly recomended for nice dinner in one of the busiest areas of San Salvador.More

Last night's dining experience at la enoteca in San Salvador was a total delight and delightfully personal and "fresh". The owner of this casual but charming find is Lissette. She has a personality that seems to make everyone a friend (or family) even upon your...first visit. There was no menu, Lissette comes to the table and asks what you want to drink (spirits, red wine, white wine, beer, mineral water) and whether you are going to dine. If you reply yes to dining she asks if you want a starter or just a main course and then helps you through the options. Our party (seven people) had four different capriccio starters (octopus, fish, beef and veggie), a wonderful Italian red wine with several in the party choosing Johnny Walker Black Label instead of wine. Unfortunately, I forgot to get the label for the wine because we just followed Lissette's recommendation. She shuts her restaurant for a month and a half each year and travels to Italy to review wines and get ideas for new menu items and Lissette clearly knows what she is doing. We agreed on the quality of Brunello (but she seems to prefer Barolo). Upon completing our appetizers, Lissette returned to ask what we would like for a main course. The options were simple, pasta or meat but on the pasta she would prepare it almost anyway you desired. I was in the mood for something simple so I had spaghetti alio y olio (with garlic and olive oil and hot red peppers). It was delivered al dente without having to ask with just the right blend of the oil and spices. We dined at a small round table outside the front entrance. It was a wonderful experience but any readers must be aware that this is a small restaurant that isn't for a crowd. If you want a beautiful and simple meal (my favorite combination) with a lovely intelligent host, la enoteca is a winner.More

We went here for a glass of wine and an appetizer. The service was great as was the wine selection. We met the owner. She made us feel welcome. If you go, get a table on the patio (if it is not too humid). I...would definitely go back and recommend you give it a try.More
