Chances are if you ever been to Ukraine. You most likely have eaten at puzata hata. This is the place that got me to trust Ukrainian food because I’m fussy and picky. I’m not an adventurous eater at all. Before I met my now little vixen wife from this fine country. I had asked does Ukraine have McDonald’s, Burger King, subway, etc. she said they had McDonald’s and I said..good..I’ll be eating there everyday till I go home. I was craving some beer and we stopped in at puzata hata. I bought quite a few rounds and got lit up pretty good. Everyone knows after drinking..you want food. Well...I thought..how bad can this Ukrainian food be..so me and my little rocket ordered some food and I was drunk enough to take recommendations from her. The first bite blew my mind..what is this awesome thing I’m eating..then I ate a few other things and fell in love with the food. This place was awesome. It was so good that after my experience here. It’s the first place I come and always frequent when I visit Ukraine with my wife. I literally cannot get over how great Ukrainian food is. I’m used to the trash us Canadians call food. Anyways...go here. If you had a few drinks..really really go here. If your hungry and looking for a truly cheap meal that’s out of this world..do it now.

It is a great buffet restaurant to try local cuisine for very low prices. The only disadvantage is that if you go late evening, they will not have many plates by then.

We have visited this Ukrainian restaurant a couple of times, the food is absolutely delicious, the borsch with meat was nice and fresh, all of the food was hot except the chip style potatoes which where only warm this is why I am only giving the restaurant 4 out of 5. The place is a traditional Ukrainian styled restaurant with wooden floors and seating, it has a relaxed atmosphere and the staff are friendly and helpful.

Bad food and the staff wasn’t able to even communicate in English. Some of the varenyky tasted foul and disgusting, we almost had to puke. Can’t recommend this place at all

people kept telling me this is cheap food and equiviliant to mcondalds. Pros 1. it is cheap if you keep your meal to 1 item and a drink. cons 2. costs start to add up if you have a big appetite and get multiple items for your meal like me. 3. all the food is cold that should have been warm. i had the sausage, grilled chicken, borsch, hamburger steak(not sure it looked like it), and some veggies, with a bottled water. 4. all of the food is bland and just straight up horrible like it has been sitting around for many hours and with no constant heat to keep the meats warm. even the borsch soup was horrible. this isn't the only puzata hata i have been too, they are consistent on being horrible and it just isn't worth it for a tourist. i can see this place for college students on a budget that is about it. i give this a big thumbs down and it really needs some work.

We come there because we read that the foof is really ukrainian. So, we were not disappointed. Food was tasty, fresh and warm. Very good borsch and solianka, ukrainian dumplings with potatoes, meat, cherris, cheese. I really recommend Puzata Hata.

The food is decent and the prices are good. No lines and you just pick what food you like and pay. Very smooth. But most of the staff there are not service minded at all and look very grumpy. But overall its Worth a visit.

Two people can have here lunch with 0,33 beer for 250 hrivnas it means less than 10€. Meals are tasty, fresh, no fast food, local ukrainian and you can eat in house decorated inside with folklor paintings. Puzata khata is a chain restaurant. Recomended.

Hard to beat the price of the food here. This restaurant has a nice selection of traditional foods here. You can just tell them or point to what you want to eat. Great place to eat especially if you're traveling solo.

Nice and tasty meals, wide variety of meat and vegetarian meals, very good bortsch, friendly prices, stylish folk-style interior. It is a self-service place which means you need to take a tray and move along selecting what to have as you go. Very good "mors" (berry drink). I was so hungry that I didn´t take any photos of our meals, just desserts, sorry :) Recommended!

A great place for cheap authentic food in a cosy environment. You may struggle a bit if you do not read the local alphabet but it is worth it. Things to improve: only 1 toilet each for such a big restaurant, English translation on food descriptions would be useful.
