How is Osteria Pantagruel rated?

Thought the food here was very good. Lasagna was one of the best that I have eaten in a restaurant and the rabbit ravioli was also delicious. Salad starters did the trick and the wine was good - a fairly priced Chianti when we first...visited. Second time we were pushed away from the wine list towards the specials that they were serving. It may have been a language issue, but we didn’t appreciate our choice being restricted in this way. But this takes nothing away from the food which we thoroughly enjoyed.More

Good

A good restaurant but a bit overestimated. I mean the cuisine is good but nothing astonishing, the service is fair, the prices are high but still reasonable. Season's menu is interesting. The location is great especially on summer terrace.More

Cozy terrace, great food and wines

One of my favorite places in Kyiv. Amazing Italian food, great selection of wines and cozy outside terrace in spring/summer season. Love it! A bit pricey though.More

Not great

Given the review score I was expecting something very good. The pasta was fine but nothing special, and the "fresh tomato traditional" bruschetta had some kind of minced up tomato sauce thing on it, and the Caprice salad had cherry tomatoes. No pizza served. I'm...glad I didn't take my kids here because there was literally nothing they would have eaten.More

Excellent Italian food - especially for Kiyv!

Lived close to golden gate, was my #1 choice for both lunch and brunch. Especially the porcini risotto was nom-nom!

Tasty Food near Golden Gate

Excellent place for really good food. Great service and prices were mostly reasonable. Friendly atmosphere in historical area. I had a salad and sea bass-absolutely delicious.

Good but pricey

Went there with my GF for a dinner. Food was really good, I had pasta she had salmon ravolis. Really good bread and fresh olive oli. Tiramisu was nice and moisty. Prices were higher than expected for Kiev but worth it. Good location but on...cold period seating is indoors in a basement.More

Golden Gate area

Calm and warm atmosphere created by friendly looking waiters. Eurupean kitchen made made by skillful cook from fresh food You could feel relax in loud city center. The price is above average but not sky-high

Gorgeous food

Really good Italian, better then some recent restaurants I visited in Rome. We had to sit inside as it was full outside, but the ambience was still good. Price reasonable and staff helpful.

One of the best tastes of classical Italian meals in Kyiv

Very delicious food. Excellent true selection of Italian meals and wines. The setting is not that cozy, more to say somewhat uncomfortable, but the food is totally worth to give it a try.

Good food in a nice location

An Italian restarurant in a nice location which you will particularly appreciate in summer. Good food, served by an efficient and polite staff and reasonably priced. I have been there times already and plan to return.

Brilliant food (and my childhood was in Rome)

Second time in Kiev, second time at this restaurant. Location delightful next to the Golden Gate. Service was excellent and friendly, but not intrusive. Good bread and olive oil, very nice prosecco. The homemade tagliatelle with black truffles and bone marrow was so very delicious...and perfect on the tooth that I had to seriously restrain myself from licking the bowl. Marvelous.More

Great Place

I wanted to try some good Italian food, so I chose this place because it had good ratings. The location of this restaurant is chosen well since its right next to Golden Gate. I ordered some pasta. The food was good. I really wanted some...Fettuccine Alfredo, but unfortunately they didn't have it on a menu. I enjoyed my visit here.More

Delicious food excellent service

I was staying just around the corner and had read good reviews of this place. I wasn’t disappointed. The friendly maitre’d got me a table outside and I ordered a seafood risotto which was cooked to perfection. Friendly staff - very reasonably priced food and...a fantastic location.More
