Tasty, fast and effective service.
Found the True Burger Bar on Trip Advisor and went there for a quick lunch. I am still trying to find the rhythm of the city, so I thought that I would have, what I consider, a late lunch (1430). This was a wrong assumption, as the restaurant got filled with people during my 30 min stay.
The staff was friendly and their english more than adequate. The service was effective and I did not have to wait long for them to take my order, my food or for the bill.
I had the truffle burger with extra pickled cucumbers. The burger was tasty and the pickled cucumbers outstanding (good balance of sweet and sour). To drink I had their local draft (unfiltered pilsner type) which fitted the burger well. The chips (french fries) were a bit bland and out of a bag like and I would have give the True Burger Bar a bubble rating of five had the quality of the chips been better.
All in all a good lunch experience and a place I will definitely return to, maybe to taste their Kimchi burger, which sounds promising.

I had a really good burger, cooked to perfection. Had them add jalapeno peppers and it was no problem at all. My companion had blue berry pancakes that came with tint marinated pine cones. A first for both of us and it was fantastic.Solid service, reasonable prices.I would visit again.

For a quick meal The True Burger Bar is a good choice. For my this was a returning visit and I was really looking forward to tasting the Kimchi burger, but unfortunately the Kimchi Burger was no longer available. So this time I had the classic burger with bacon. This burger was pretty standard and not as good as the truffle burger I had previously., however this time I tried the chips with parmesan and truffle mayo - not very healthy but extremely tasty. As the previous times the staff was very helpful, fast and professional. The True Burger Bar is still a four bubble rating and I very likely to return in order to taste their more experimenting burgers.

Tourist from Ireland visiting true burger bar as it had great reviews however when we arrived the staff were not interested in us whatsoever. We tried to order a burger, without salad however the girl could not understand, had little patience, then went on to say that my order was “unusual” and turned her face up. Due to the terrible service we had to leave the restaurant, only then did the girl seem apologetic but by that time it was too late. Will not be back nor recommend to any tourists.

The cheese balls with peanuts and raspberry sauce were the perfect starter. We had the turkey and the truffle burger and enjoyed both a lot. The cocktail with the cilantro sounded intriguing and was really good but unfortunately didn’t taste like cilantro at all. All in all though, a great place with friendly service.

Burgers were great! The vegetarian burger’s coleslaw was a bit too much but it didn’t ruin it for me at all. Classic burger was also great it was cooked just right. The French fries were small in portion just a bit but it was totally fine. The Dumbo cocktail didn’t taste good at all, it had a bit of a bitter syrup taste (like super sweet in a bitter way) but the lemonade was so sweet and tasty. They were also kind enough to take the Dumbo out of the check so it was very nice of them.

Just had a great experience dining here as a solo diner. Quality of burger was excellent and good portion size. Staff service was very prompt and they all spoke excellent English. Well priced. Recommended if you’re staying a block away at the Ibis Hotel.

We went there once and were dissatisfied.
PROS:
Burgers, as such, were very good.
Beer was fresh.
A waiter was polite and quick.
The interior was nice-looking and clean.
CONS:
Cooking bland is the Ukrainian tradition so I ordered two portions of chili pepper with my Classic Beef burger, but even the chili was almost tasteless.
Double Cheese with Kimchi (very hot and spicy by definition) burger was also bland.
Fluffy Waffles with Poached Eggs & Bacon had a chance, but caramelized onion was definitely cooked with sugar. This trick makes getting the onion brown much quicker, but the taste suffers significantly. In our case, it was barely edible as the waffles soaked up the liquid.
And a milkshake was just so-so.

The food here is unbelievably good, the service personal speaks english, which is rare in kiev, and overall the vibe here is really chill and fun. You should definitely try the chicken strips, they're amazing and the beer is also very tasty.

I have seen some reviews on this restaurant and have to say I don’t think they know anything about burgers, having eaten around the world and eating burgers just about everywhere’s I have traveled to, this place has great burgers, have have visited this place a few times and myself and my wife truly enjoyed the food here, I had the Diablo burger which was so tasty and my wife had the classic burger both burgers looked and tasted great, the waiter was perfect and took our order and our special request on how to make and what not to place on our burgers so great to have this type of service and great teasing burger in Kiev. We have hid others burgers in town but not as good as the food at the True Burger Bar.

We ate here twice during our 4-night stay in Kyiv. Both times the staff were lovely, the food was great and it seemed quite reasonably priced. The peppered steak burger was the winner for me though, beautiful!

I’m gonna try to detail:
1. Was not a burger was an entrecôte inside the burger (they could have adviced that)
2. Fried chicken was Poorly fried
3. Frozen fried potatoes (how much effort takes to cut a fresh potatoe?)
Tomate on the buger was fresh and it tasted good at the end, and if I put 3 stars is because I’m not gonna come back
