We thought we would try this while in Ukraine as we wanted to say we had a McDonald's while over here. I stuck to the familiar. Good old chicken burger with fries and water. My husband tried out what looked like a double bacon cheese...burger on a very dark bun. The server was very nice and spoke some English. Very helpful. The place was spotless! Don't think I've ever been in a cleaner McDonalds. One really good idea which I would love to see back in Canada was that they had sinks just to wash hands in without having to use the toilets. Nice bathrooms too. Lots of security guards walking around inside the restaurant which was a little strange. As for the food.: was similar to home but had a slight background "fishy" taste perhaps from the type of oil used for frying. It wasn't awful but not what we are used to. Glad we went though. Enjoyed the visit.More
One big meal costs about 55 grivnas, which is less than three euros. Amazing. I would skip the breakfast though.
Curiosity made me venture over the threshold but I was not tempted to stay. There are classier, tastier and cheaper options in Kiev if you are prepared to look for them.
it's a McDonald's that changed its menu for the summer, but forgot to inform the customer. So you spend some time studying their menu, you make a choice and then you order. and guess what? they inform you that what I want is not on...the menu any more and then they try to offer me something else in Ukranian and I get lost in translation. So you just leave and move on.More
The food is same as everywhere on the globe. But what fascinated me was the rates. After exchange rate, I see the rates are less than what we pay in India. In India, we pay up 30% in form of taxes that is not the...case here. I enjoyed the McChicken Meal with potato wedges.More
McDonald's is a McDonalds everywhere I have gone, this taste just like here in the USA the prices after exchange rate are the same as in USA also. if you like American fast food, you will enjoy Mcdonalds here, but if you don,t speak russian,...then just say Big mak' because they do not speak english. never a good time to go, always a crowd..other people are rude, and will cut in front of you.keep your wallet in your front pocket.More
We always like to see what the local treat is at any McDonald's. In Spain, it is gazpacho, etc. In Kyiv, it is cheese balls, using what I think is goat cheese and herbs, coated with crumbs and deep fried. Yum! Not to mention the...notoriously clean bathrooms!More

I am not a regular at McDonalds, however it happens that couple times in a year I find myself at this place in the evening looking for quick takeout to take home and no time for other places. And the quality of service has been...dropping with every visit. Last time it was this: - as it was said in other reviews, no queue, so you have to "fight" for your place at the counter; - once I was there and made my choice I was told to pay and wait for my order for couple of minutes. There were three (!) of us waiting at the cashdesk with slips in hand; - finally my order arrived. First they tried to give it to other person waiting,, then to me. But the package was too light. I peeked inside - and sure, there was only HALF of what I ordered! - Another couple of minutes were spent trying to attract attention of people behind the desk. Finally my shouts were noticed by "senior" staff and they seemingly repacked my order (no excuses though :( ). - and what do you think, when I arrived at home, I discovered that some sauces where still missing!More
