Shato Robert Doms was a great tavern we visited as we were pub and bar hopping around Khreshchatyk Street and what a great find. Walking in and I knew I would enjoy my visit here, set over two floors ,big shiny brewvats prominently on display,...exposed brickwork, chunky wooden tables and chairs, great decor and furnishings including a cool looking serving bar and plenty of seating options spread throughout this tavern, a really great place to unwind in. My twin brother Stephen and I were here on a Tuesday evening, greeted warmly by a very pleasant member of staff who served us a beer each,we opted to have their dark beer ,these were served in excellent condition ,we just kicked back, chilled out and took in the great tavern we were in. The beer served here was exceptional, a dark ,malty brew bursting with taste, very easy to drink,a beer style both myself and my twin brother Stephen are particularly fond of. On this visit I cannot really comment on the meals as we were here only for beers but I must say that the meals leaving the kitchen looked and smelt delicious and on our next visit to here we are most certainly going to sample their meal menu. We really enjoyed our beers in here and the great vibe in this tavern so much so that we ended up staying for another beer each before we moved on and for a first time visit we were totally impressed with this tavern. Shato Robert Doms is easy to locate along Khreshchatyk Street, a street of some outstandingly beautiful architecture and lots of pubs, bars and restaurants. Well worth checking out if your in the area.More

I was coming for along time to Shato but they have changed their policy. Food menu from Ukrainian food to Turkish and raised prices for 50-100% Beer will cost you 70 grivnas almost 3 EUR, shot of vodka 2eur and soup borsch 8EUR. Shame what...they made from one of my fovourites place in Kyib. Also waiters are really slow and even for small order you need to wait long time.More

Be warned, you’ll need a full regimen of antibiotics after eating here. On top of poorly prepared food, the cocktails are made by someone with a blindfold. Pina Colladas were straight vodka with ice. When I complained to our waitress, her reply was “It will...taste much better without ice”. Absolutely unacceptableMore

Indoor and outdoor dining was available. We chose to sit upstairs at a window table with a good view of the street below. We had Calamari for entree and two Chicken sub sandwiches with chips for main. All the food arrived at the table at...the same time. The chips were cold, we asked for a new serve of hot chips which was done no problem. All the food tasted really good and was nicely presented. We had a couple of beers and two cocktails, Pina Colada was a bit weak but the Cosmopolitan was good. Didn't order dessert but had another serve of chips. Staff were very good. Would have stayed longer but the band started and were so loud that you couldn't hear each other talking. A little pricey but still good.More

The weighing of the food is terrible, what they call 2kg is more like 500grams. Be aware what a rip off. They seriously need to manage there staff and kitchen.

Stopped here and ordered two appetisers and two mains. One of the mains arrived first do we questioned where the appetisers were and waiter was quite blunt and said he knew we had ordered them. Luckily we had planned to share so we started on...the main course then another arrived, followed by one of the appetisers. Then the other appetiser. Ended up eating the mains then appetisers but by that point one of them was cold from sat waiting.More

I visited this restaurant after the long time and was suprised. Service is faster, selection of the meals is better from the time I visited it earlier.

Worst service ever. We waited for our waiter for 10 minutes, which should have been the first sign. The waiter showed up and looked confused when we asked about beer choices, which should have been the second sign. We ordered 3 beers and some snacks...for beer. Waited 20 minutes to get beers. Then waited another 30 minutes..... It was ridiculous because we kept asking the waiter where our food is and he kept saying “sorry, only 2 minutes left”. Overall after waiting for almost an hour we didn’t get our food. Just asked to pay for beer. Naturally they didn’t comp the drinks. We left hungry and mad but the waiter apologized and said he was just fired. The whole place looked like a mess with waiters running around and yelling out orders with no regard for the visitors. Stay away unless you want to wait for 2 hours to get served.More

From start to finish, this restaurant was top class. Very quick and efficient service, we had drinks and snacks on the table within a minute. We were looked after by a Ibrahim who was always there when we needed him and made sure everything was...perfect. We were there for few hours, enjoying live music. One of the best places in Kiev !More
