We were invited to lunch here and having read inconsistent reviews I was a bit concerned, but our hosts eat there regularly as it close to their office. We had a large range of Ukrainian dishes and found the majority of them very appetising with perhaps the only dish that disappointed being Chicken Kiev - maybe my previous Chicken Kievs in London when it was very popular in the 80s is not very authentic, but I preferred that. Service was very pleasant and I liked the style -yes a bit touristy, but I think it works. In terms of value - for the type of place it is, I think it is fine. If you are really measuring against local Kiev restaurants which are not so upmarket, then maybe it is a bit expensive.

A week ago my friend from abroad came to visit and we had to take him to a proper Ukrainian restaurant. It was one of those times when Google made an amazing suggestion. I have to admit - they have very delicious borsch. I think as good as my mom’s. And varenyky with cherries, and varenyky with blueberries, and…. I can continue…. It was really delicious Ukrainian food with a lovely Dnipro river view

Dishes were straightforward with few (or no?) spices. Borsch tastes nice, their take on Kiev cake was filling. The main grilled fish left a sore note; the head was cut off entirely and left so no cheeky business for me. The upper side was not fileted, instead an incision in the middle parallel to the backbone and the parts shoved up and downwards. Looked rather unappealing. Also few bones remained.
In general I like it when fish tastes like fish and eggplant like eggplant. Also I can read so I was aware that fish pricing is per 100g.
If they trained the staff more and spiced their food a bit more the place would improve a lot. Also the preparation a table for the Borshch seems unnecessary and over the top.

Food is extremely delicious in this place, would definitely come back here again. Table on the terrace has great view, live music added really special atmosphere.
P.S. unpleasant smell in the restroom should be fixed as soon as possible.

I checked reviews just like everyone else and decided to give it a try.. This place is... ok. The view is ok even it’s on the water but the bridges blocked views you can’t really see far or a clear view, not like everyone is wow about. The restaurant inside settings is... ok not something you have never seen or you have to come back. The service is.. ok not something special you can’t forget. The food are Way Over Priced compare with what you pay for. My girlfriend and I opened the menu and we were like wtf lol. I’ve been to Kiev many many times and been to many restaurants around the city center. I can assure you can easily find some cool better restaurants than this for what you pay for. Honestly, we were expecting price might be high since it’s on the boat and by the water but not this high. My girlfriend was laughing after we saw the menu. She looked at me and said you know we can go better places than here right? Lol well I said we are here so let’s just try to enjoy. Like I said, if you wanna spend the money, go for it! By the way, the food is.. ok not something spectacular like the reviews we read before. The vodka room is cool.

Well, I guess I have to remind myself from now on that every place with a “scenic view” or “authentic cuisine” is an overpriced trap for the tourists with money. Any place with a white cloth on the table and preset wine glasses should have already been thrown away in a bin in like 2014 but that’s what “Khutorets on Dnipro” exactly is and thriving in 2021. With a whole range of amazing modern conceptualized restaurants and exciting food and drink options in Kiev this one shouldn’t be in your list when you visit Ukraine. Way too overpriced, with nothing special to offer, it attracts foreigners that looking to spend money but don’t care on what. Tricky menu that offers “fish by weight” but neither menu or server will let you know exactly how much you get so in the end be ready to spend over 1000 hryvnas for a bony plain fish. Cocktail list that don’t inspire, wine list that looks the same as any other wine list in any other fancy restaurant. Customers service is trying to be good, but for me it looked like none of the crew actually like working there or being there. Absolutely don’t worth the money and time.

Great restaurant if you want to try Ukrainan cuisine. We start with small plate of “salo”. After go with amazing Borshch. Maybe best borshch i ever eat. Pirogy (varenyky) and Chicken kyiv was great too .. and yes we try “vodka room”

Fantastic food , we had tasted most of the famous traditional Ukranina food.

We paid 730 UAH for two plates of chicken with mashed potatoes and a bottle of water. Bad seasoning and very oily dish. Unfriendly staff and overpriced menu. Watch out for this terrible place.

Floating restaurant on the Dnieper river and it’s truly a go-to restaurant. We loved the Salo, the beef tartar, the Olivier salad with smoked meat and these tasty traditional “Deruny” (potato pancakes). Oh, and let’s not forget the vodka room 👏🏻
