On positive side: the decoration is nice (though no windows) and the service was good. However, it is hugely overpriced, also the bill was much higher that we expected (the menu is complicated with prices per 100 gram, so you actually do not now the exact price for the dish). The starter was ok, but the main dish was poor... More

I always liked it, very nice quality Ukrainian food , beautiful area. If you need to show your friends what is Ukraine about - this is place to go!

A group of us visited this restaurant and we had a great evening. The setting is really interesting and follows a traditional style decor. Staff wear traditional old-style outfits and there were some traditional music singers which all added to a really good experience. We had a range of starters and mains and everyone was happy. The food was very... More

Sadly, this lovely place doesn't offer the quality food we used to have, except shashlik which is still lovely. We were really disappointed and now go to Khutorok which is by far the best meanwhile.

If you want to feel like in an Uranian village setting, while sampling original Ukranian dished, this is the place. The food is pretty authentic, so go for the local "unhealthy" choices, such as cured lard, borscht Etc. The atmosphere and service are outstanding. It also near the Lavra (kiev's main church), and a great place to have pinch after... More

nice restaurant and good atmosphere for the summer since there is a very nice garden. Live music with not only local songs. Food was good. Just good. nothing more and nothing less. So this is a risk-free place to go but not the "must go" place for Kiev

Had high expectations based on the other reviews here. True, the place is nicely decorated in the Ukrainian traditional style, and the service was nice enough. The faux-Ukrainian music on the radio gets annoying after a while and the live musicians, as somebody already mentioned, were terrible. Also and most unfortunately, the food is nothing special, being from Ukraine myself... More

It has an authentic interior, excellent food and quick and friendly service. It is, however, the most expensive restaurant we've visited in Kiev, but it worth the price. And there's one thing I couldn't understand - the coffee/tea costs a lot and is actually near or even more expensive than in an average restaurant in western Europe, so pay attention... More

I honestly couldn't tell you what authentic Ukrainian cuisine actually is. However, this place was recommended to us by our taxi driver when we first arrived in Kiev. I was at first a little hesitant because it looked a bit touristy but it is actually just based on a historical styling. The service was very good. The staff were all... More

Service was friendly (smiles and all), and our dishes were served relatively quick. The food was very delicious. Even got a dish as a compliment from the chef. Not a cheap place though!
