Great food and service, flexibility and attention to detail, little nice gestures like lollies and sunflower seeds on departure and modern interior all came together well.

This place is has a very unique menu in comparison to other Ukrainian restaurants. And most of the dishes are nicely served and delicious. The prices are okay. But one day, I ordered a borsch soup and some salo. Salo was "sweet". Yes, it was very sweet. I complained about it to waitress but she just said that it is... More

We dined twice at this restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The place is unpretentious but nice. It is not cheap by Ukrainian standards without being overpriced. All the ingredients are high quality, fresh, very well cooked and presented. They have a choice of traditional dishes and a modern take on Ukrainian cuisine which is quite compelling. Congratulations to the Chef!... More

Lots of reviews mention fun as a main aspwct of this restaurant and it's true, but is it enought? We usually go to the restaurants to have primary great food, then good service and if possible have some fun. In this case we had good service and fun, but food was very very average.

The place is lovely. You can get some interesting experience there, such as food in 'cosmonaut' style in tubes or bortsh eskimo style. They have 14 types of liqueurs and you can try them all in a set with mini-portions and choose the one you like to drink for the whole eve.

Located just 50 metres or so from St Sophia's Cathedral so probably focuses more on tourists than locals. It is a retro 1960s Soviet place with pics of Gagarin etc on walls. The name of the place derives from Russian for 'stumble'. Food whilst not fine dining is tasty and fun. We had starters & mains with 2 beers and... More

If you are choosing between museum and lunch in Kiev you better go to Spotykach. It's nice place where you will experience Ukrainian culture, cuisine and history. And for people who likes long meals and chatting they have awesome attraction - chess with chocolates and rum or cured pork fat and vodka

I have been here a number of times in the past few years, Visited again this time and it was really good - the best yet. Good menu, good food, slightly over-attentive staff. Not expensive. Well worth a visit.

Thank witston

Yes, Spotykach really be proud! With such care together under one cover the most famous culinary hits of the Soviet era have not for everyone. Here is what restaurant critics over the years will be called "Ukrainian cuisine of the Soviet period," and the mere process of reading the menu is wild appetite. Salad leaves traditional herring under a fur coat, Olivier, Mimosa Capital, salad with beans and a dozen names. Then begins an even more pleasant discoveries. Take, for example, herring with anchovies on potatoes with onions or perch with mushrooms, fried pancakes. Sated fangled delights metropolitan restaurants audience inevitably return to the simple joys that are certain to become trump card Spotykach.
