we used this café for a cheap meal, I was not expecting much but when I had my meal I was amazed at the quality especially for such a low price. The surroundings were good and a great atmosphere made this a good experience. It is self service with a wide choice of food, good quality and very cheap. It... More

Very affordable food, in a cozy atmosphere. Food is cheap, but quality isn't that impressive. Good for a quick bite or cheap breakfast/lunch, but wouldn't recommend this for dinner, unless you are on a very tight budget. For those on a budget, it's a great way to try out many different dishes from Eastern European/Ukrainian cuisine. Been here several times... More

Puzata Hata is an original Ukrainan restaurant (or eatery to be exact). Everything is very tasty and you can try food which you have not met yet. Prices are very low, but as this restaurant is mainly for Ukrainans, descriptions, labels and menus are available only in Ukrainan language, but you have to try it! :-)

Cheap and fast but quality of the food is very low. Most food was served cold while I presume it would of tasted better warm

Cheap and really fast, but i'm not sure about quality. What I did mentioned is that I often feel heavy stomach after their foods (which rarely happens in other places), and that was because of cheap and unhealthy fat and oil they use, I guess.

Affordable, yet tasty food. It's a chain, so it's easy to find them throughout the city. Don´t know where to eat? Puzata hata is the best bet. Try kvass (drink), varenyky (dumplings). But any food is good there really.

It's cheap ($3-4 for lunch will be enough), but rather tasty food, it's the best vareniki in town (especially with cherries!), decent variety of food. Also there's a separate counter with different sorts of tea, coffee and desserts. But keep in mind that during mid-week (if it's not summer) at the lunch time it will be packed with students from... There is a wide variety of choices and you can see what you order right in front of you. I believe it is possible to taste almost everything from Ukrainian cousin there, also total price is going to be a pleasant surprise.

You want good cheap Ukrainian food? This is the best place in the city. There are probably 10 locations throughout Kiev. Go eat like a king, for $10!

Good combination price quality for day to day lunch. Variety of dishes. Tables near windows give great views on Podil.
