This is probably the best bakery in Belgrade. Everything they have is very tasteful and fresh and very well worth tasting. The only problem with this place is that you have to stand in a row and wait 10min untill served because place is so popular and locals love it. But then again it is worth waiting, too...

This is inexpensive serbian pastry that is always very hot and fresh which is key, as it becomes fairly inedible very quickly. Since there is constant turnover you are assured of freshness. Try to eat somewhere else e.g. in the park nearby to avoid the noise and the locals squabbling over their place in line. There are 2 lines. One is for Burek. If you are not ordering Burek, stand in the other line. There are several type of liquid yogurt. Some of them are lower fat e.g. Pekarski which is probably best avoided. The ladies who work there are usually friendly but keep in mind they have to deal with all kinds of people all day.

We are Americans living in Belgrade for a few months and you can find great bureq in many places. However, when we have quests who may get only one chance to eat this treat ... this is where we go. And don't be intimidated by the line. Just ask for help from the Serbians waiting with you and you will be well taken care of!

We had 1 minced meat borek (1 large portion), it is definitely very filling. We ate a vegetable pastry and something similar to a macaroni with small sauce. The whole thing cost 450 dinars, they taste delicious but the pastries are oily. Even though it was half past 8 in the morning, there was a queue and we waited for 15 minutes, but I guess it's always like that in this place. A place to try when visiting

It was fresh and very good. I couldn't decide which type to choose so I picked more than one type. Specially the white cheese burek pie was very good. I have to say that it was also very oily but none the less it was delicious. The staff were also very sweet and friendly although they could speak just a few words of English.

The best bakery in town with traditional food, hearty meals to start the day. They use homemade and delicious ingredients. Obligatory for foreigners to come and get to know the food culture in the Balkans!

I’ve seen online this was the best bakery in Belgrade, so I happily went. Once it was my turn, I asked the lady if she was speaking English, and she literally shooed me out of the bakery, like a dog!! I would have pointed out what I wanted but nope, couldn’t even do that I guess. I’m utterly disappointed.

It justifies the queue outside. The store is small and with a wide variety of items. The best of it are our own pies, eg cheese pie, meat pie, etc. Locals prefer it and that says a lot. You understand the quality in sweets that are not loaded with unnecessary sugar.

The best burek with ham and yellow cheese in Belgrade is right here. This bakery is located next to Slavija Square, in the center of the city. Although I arrived before closing time, luckily for me I waited for the famous ham and yellow cheese burek and I was not wrong. A beautiful burek, full of ham and yellow cheese. Although I wanted to try a burek with meat and cheese, but unfortunately they didn't have any at that moment, because they were closing.

No further explanation is needed, simply the best bakery in town. Best to pick up and eat at home, very stressful because of the crowds, there's always a line but it's worth the wait. Obligatory for foreigners to come and get to know the food culture in the Balkans!

Everyone kept telling us we 'had' to go to this bakery, it's the best, there's always a line, etc. We were told we 'had' to get the burek. We went around 4 in the afternoon on a Wednesday and there was, in fact, a line. It went quickly though. We did get cheese burek and some other pastries to try. Maybe it's just us but it was okay. Portions are a good size and the burek was pretty greasy. We'd try other bakeries before going back to this one.

Very very tasty burek! We tried the meat and the white cheese bureks. I heard it's one of the best burek bakeries (pekara) in Belgrade, but I don't have much to compare to. Unfortunately a quite stressful experience to order and not much place inside to eat. A few standing seats are available. You are better off ordering take-away and eating somewhere else. Seems to always be a lot of customers!

Workers steal .Сharge more. They add an item to the account and charge, and you neither asked for nor received it.Despite the crowd, they have the rudest staff in Belgrade!
