We had a wonderful meal at Gradska restaurant. The staff were wonderful and friendly, and although there were only a few customers due to the season, the atmosphere was lovely. I had the Mountain Lamb, which was delicious - and my partner had the pork chop stuffed with cheese and wrapped in Prosciutto which was also very tasty. We also ordered a šopska salad and bread, and we had 6 glasses of wine (3 red and 3 white) which were very reasonable and good quality. We finished with Serbian coffee, and the bill was really not expensive (about £46). The restaurant is near a park and, although in a residential area, it feels very atmospheric and romantic. We will definitely return when we are back in Serbia!

A wonderful local restaurant for traditional Bulgarian cuisine. The atmosphere itself is so nice, sitting right within a park, the terrace looks out over into the green park, with tables covered in tablecloth, such a beautiful location. Everyone is extremely welcoming and friendly, with excellent English if you are visiting as a foreigner. We tried the Karađorđeva šnicla and it was possibly the best food we've eaten in Serbia! It was packed full of kajmak and prepared fresh to order, which can be rare these days. The quality of the meat and ingredients really shone through. This is the perfect place to try some local cuisine, while also relaxing and enjoying the atmosphere of a traditional restaurant in Serbia. Highly recommended for anyone coming to the city. Don't forget to try some of the local Serbian wine!! We wish we were here longer to visit again we enjoyed it so much!

Gradska is the perfect combination of authentic Serbian food, good wine, and friendly, warm service that Belgrade is known for. I'd recommend this place to anyone looking to get to know Serbian food for an affordable price, as well as anyone looking for a really local experience — my friends and I were the only Americans (I'm half Serbian) in the whole place. We stumbled upon it late during my friends' first night in the city, so this served as a real introduction for them — we got cevapi, pljeskavica, proja, ajvar, kajmak, prsut, fries, pecene paprike, sopska salata, rakija, and wine (we were a big group). It seemed that every one of us loved every last dish on the table! Our waiter was extremely friendly, as pretty much all Serbs are, and he was attentive and accurate with our orders. My only regret is not getting more food! My other regret is not living in Belgrade to get the privilege of eating here on a weekly basis. I'll be back next summer to visit my family, and I'll definitely be stopping in Gradska!

Great food, terrible service. There was no one in at 8pm and yet they had a telly AND radio blaring in the background. The food was delicious but the lack of ambience and the stupidly slow service makes me think it wasn’t worth the trip. The waiter must have walked past our table 3 times and still left our plates sitting on them when we’d finished. I then had to go up to the bar to ask for the bill. I’d hate to see how they’d cope if they ever got more than 2 tables in at once.

Booked well in advance (July 2nd) via email to which the official booking confirmation arrived, we arrived tonight (August 12th) ten minutes late, instead of at 9pm as agreed at 9.10pm, and only because we had problems finding the local, which is located far from the center and difficult to reach. The place was deserted, only a small table with two diners, otherwise completely empty. And a guy who, when we tell him we have booked, in a rude and arrogant tone tells us that the kitchen is closed. At 9.10pm? With a confirmed reservation for 9pm? I'm sorry, the food will probably be good, but I would advise the owners to monitor their employees how they behave with people. And I would advise anyone looking for a restaurant to go elsewhere.

We enjoyed a lovely dinner in this traditional looking restaurant in residential area of Belgrade neighbourhood Dorcol. I wish I remember the name of the waiter who served us, he was very friendly and made us feel welcomed. The food was tasty and prices were decent. Overall great place, we will definitely go back next time we are in Belgrade! Highly recommended!

The restaurant is located in a quiet park, nice and cool during a warm day. The music is not very loud and the place not extremely busy so you find peace to sit and eat. Service, also in english, nice and helpful with suggestions as it was our first visit to Serbia and Belgrad. Everything was nicely prepared and tasted interesting. The prices are very good and the menu big so you can try a lot of different things. So it is worth a visit.

This restaurant is not very centrally located and I had to walk around 15 minutes to get here. Let me tell you it was definitely worth it! If I did not know about the place, I would not have gone in, as it doesn't look like much from the outside. It was already dark, and I couldn't even see a sign or any kind of branding. But we don't judge a restaurant from the cover. I ordered two salads (Serbian and Sauerkraut) and was hoping to get the venison medallions. Sadly they did not have them and the waiter recommended the venison stew instead. I am usually not a fan of stews but decided to go for it as I was set on venison at that point. Fast forward: It was the best stew I have ever eaten! 10/10. The meat was tender and not too gamy, and the source was mouthwatering. I would go here just to eat the stew again. All dishes were very well priced too and you could tell that it was authentic Serbian food just by the number of locals in there. Do not miss out on Gradska if you have the chance.

Gradska was a nice surprise. We went there on our first evening in Belgrade because we wanted traditional Serbian food. It was an excellent choice. The restaurant doesn’t look like much from the outside and it’s about a fifteen minute walk from Republic Square. It’s situated in a residential neighborhood and the restaurant is in the middle of a park. I only mention that because we thought we were walking in the wrong direction and then leery about eating there. Luckily we decided to give it a try and had one of the best meals we had in Serbia . We had several of the well-known Serbian dishes such as pljeskavica with kajmak, ajvar, a shopska salad, pork roulades (Toplica Kiss as they call them) and some others. The portions are very large and the food was well seasoned and cooked perfectly. The service was excellent, the prices very reasonable and the food delicious. Definitely recommended.

We found this address thanks to our tourist guide (Michelin). Upon arriving there, a friendly and very cheerful waiter offered us different dishes to choose from. All chef's specials! We ate lamb which had previously rested for 24 hours in milk, very tasty. An excellent choice offered by the waiter! I also recommend the "Rakija" spirits that can be drunk at any time of the day!

A restaurant I try to visit every time I visit Belgrade. Very diverse and good meat dishes. The ambiance and decor are beautiful. Its location is a bit outside the city center, but it''s a 15-20-minute walk to Knez mihailova street. Other restaurants are a bit expensive but I recommend

An absolutely incredible meal of Serbian staples. Delicious milk fat butter, ajvar, local cheese, and savory meats to go along with some of the fluffiest bread you've ever had, and that was just to start. After that came a wonderful assortment of meats on a bed of fries to finish off one of the tastiest meals I've had.

A short walk from Dorcol, and slightly off the tourist trail, this place is a real gem! Delicious traditional Serbian food. Serbian food is very meat-focussed but as a vegetarian I was able to order some starters and sides which were great, I had grilled mushrooms with local cheese, with grilled vegetables and fries. With a mushroom soup and homemade bread to start. Don’t forget to try the Rakija (local plum brandy).

Me and my sisters chose this restaurant for our first night in Belgrade. Not so far from the center (15-20 mins walking) you can reach it easily with or without car. The entire menu is typical, you can choose among a lot of Serbian meals proposal. Very suggested the forest chicken. The staff is super friendly and welcoming, and everybody speaks English. This is the perfect place for your Serbian dinner!
