Like many others,I expected a lot based on their name, reputation etc. Been disappointed but I'm not sure that anyone there is worried about it or will change something. First of all, location is literally on the corner of 2 very busy streets and noisy...if you seat in their garden. Food was below average, soggy sourdough buns ("lepinje"), French fries like dried grass .On top of everything, pretty large amount of "veal roast" that we couldn't eat and asked to be packed, "become" a bunch of roasted potatoes and a few small pieces of veal. Service-like they work with minimum of life energy with just a few guests For all of this any price is to high...More

I remember Trandafilović was a great restaurant in wich I used to go 20+ years ago, so when cousins asked me to attend their celebration recently, I was more than happy to experience it again after long time. Unfortunately it was a huge dissapointment. Place...was so low budget "decorated", waiters were rude, we waited for our food to arrive almost 2 whole hours! And when it eventually came, it was cold, tasteless, chewy... Tomato in sallad was LITERALLY cut in 4 huge pieces (they could as well leave it whole, for us to bite it like an apple), glasses for beer were ridiculously small etc. Overall impression - don't go there, use your money smarter in some other of many beautifull Belgrade dining places. You'll thank me later.More

The location is very nice and the food is fine however the service is terrible. The waiter was so uninterested and rude that we just couldn't believe the attitude. We were a group of 4 and wanted to grab a quick lunch. We waited for...10 minutes and nobody came so we went to the bar to order the food and drinks. We waited almost 15 minutes after ordering just for the drinks. When we asked where is the rest of the order didn't reply (and we never received it). We were really surprised with this attitude because we never experienced anything like this in Belgrade. This is the city known for it's hospitality. Avoid. There are much better places in Belgrade.More

This restaurant has a tradition (since 1929), but it falls short of expectations, mostly on food. It prides itself on the traditional Serbian cuisine, which centers on bbq-ed meat. However, our entries of pljeskavica (akin to a hamburger) and smoked pork lacked in taste, and...so did kajmak (a local dairy specialty product akin to a mixture of butter and cream cheese, but much better; it is obtained by skimming the milk fat residue after boiling and stacking the layers). The BBQ was supposed to be coal fired, but the pljeskavica did not reveal the typical smoky taste and the meat was bland. Another disappointment was Karadjordjeva snicla (like Wiener schnitzel, but rolled and filled with kajmak), which was atypically made in small rolls instead of one chunk (hence a bad bread crumb crust to meat ratio), and it was not very tasty. The service was ok and the garden setting is nice for the center of the city, but not spectacular.More

I went to the restaurant for dinner and although the restaurant was half empty we waited for one hour for our food and after my inquiry it turned out that the waiter forgot my order and I had to wait another 30 minutes to receive...my order, which is a disgrace to say the least. As for the food it is mediocre. Waiters are polite but evidently incompetent. The place in itself is a restaurant with a tradition and It saddens me that a restaurant with such tradition turned into such a mess.More

A really nice location, with tasteful traditional recipes and good prices. The only reason I am giving it 4 instead of 5 stars, was because the menu was not available in the English language, and it was troublesome to decide. However the service was GREAT,...and our server was more than glad to explain and translate everything.More

A great location on a lower level terase with a big platan tree in the middle. The food was very good, we went for local cuisine and the service was excellent. I do recommend to try this place !

Tranda is an old traditional restaurant in Vracar neighborhood I used to go frequently with my father, and I remember it as a good place to eat. I must admit I didn't go there for several years, since my father passed away, so decided to...give it a try with my family. How disappointed we were. From the moment the appetizer salad came I was shocked. Serbian famous Shopska salad was served in a small tin pot at half the size of a regular restaurant portion - looked like a joke, like a kid meal - but with a normal, not reduced price. Then came the mains - disappointment one after another. Famous Karadjordjeva wrapped pork steak, which is famous for it's size (called Girl's dream) and stuffed with kajmak (famous Serbian cheese cream) was divided into three smaller pieces (never saw it served like this) almost like Cevapcici size and with very few, almost none kajmak filling. Normal Karadjordjeva is hard to eat at once because of its size, here I was still hungry. My wife ordered another Serbian specialty, vesalica - pork tender steak which melts in your mouth - here was hard as wood, dry and tasteless. The only acceptable meal was bacon wrapped chicken which my son ordered, but that portion size was also smaller than in other similar restaurants. All of the above came with normal prices as in other restaurants where you get much bigger portions, you leave fully fed even with some left overs taken with you. Therefore, I find this establishment expensive with bad food and small portions. Much better you can get at nearby Lovac restaurant where your money is more worth. The only thing I don't give 1 star are very polite and kind waiters.More

Place is located in crowd Makenzijeva street, but it is still quiet and nice location. Interior and garden is pleasant. Waiters are real professionals, extremely polite . Their menu is broad and beefsteak salad is fresh, rich and testy. I was there on quick business...lunch and they have not done neither one mistake (I do look for them). If you want to have nice and successful business lunch try them, they are excellent.More

Place is located in old part of Belgrade, on a very nice location. Interior is a combination of vintage and a bit of new age. But let us go to the service. Service is great, great knowledge of meny and what they offer. Extremely polite.... And now food, old Serbian cousin and it is most pleasant surprise for taste buds. It is just awesome. Place to eat with friends and family. For any time. Prices are well suited, considering place and offer and above all quality, prices are good.More
