The food is very good, drinks are great, the service is terrible and the management is even worse.
My wife and I ordered the Welcome Plate, Uncle Jacks Steak, the Njoke, a Campari Spritz, a Monkey 47 Negroni, and 2 glasses of wine.
When we...received the bill we were charged for an Aperol Spritz + 60 mL pour of campari, and a 60 mL pour of each of the ingredients in a negroni, the Monkey 47, the campari, and the Vermouth rosso. When we inquired with the server he said that he had to talk to the manager about it. The manager came to the table, sat next to my wife (without a face mask), arm resting by her head (as if he was about to put his arm on her shoulder, yeah...I know), and proceeded to lie about everything.
We said that I ordered a Negroni, not 180 mL of booze of which I only received half, and he said "this is how we do it in Serbia." No it's not. Then he said, "This is how the restaurant industry works anywhere, you don't understand, so just pay." and thats when it got interesting. My wife told him that both of us are cocktail bartenders in NYC (he kept saying "Bravo and?"), and that she's from here and has never once had this happen, that he's trying to take our money because he thinks we're "stupid Americans" and that is unacceptable. He grabbed the bill, went inside, came back and said "there's nothing I can do for you, I don't want to talk to you anymore you are unpleasant, just pay and leave...
we paid, but it was not worth $8,250 Dinar.
By the way, it was a $1230 Dinar or $12.44 USD negroni. For that same negroni, I pay $850 or 8.60 USD at Beograd Koktail Klub and that's one of the best cocktail bars in Serbia.....
Please, do yourself a favor and avoid this place.
Never again.More
