Driving back home (Rome, Italy) from Eastern Turkey, we were looking for a place to stop over night and have supper between Sofia and Ljubljana. We had planned to stop in Smederevo but were discouraged by the horrendous, heavy industries 5 km before the town;...so we were proceeding on the provincial road towards Belgrade, keeping our eyes open for a decent hotel. We saw an establishment which looked at first sight a bit old-fashioned. We were extremely well surprised when they showed us a beautiful room overlooking the countryside, with a huge king-size, comfortable bed and a superb bathroom. The staff was most welcoming. The supper was superb (foie gras, excellent meat, most pleasant red wine from that wine region ...). Fire in the fireplace, elegant dining room. Breakfast was equally pleasant. Obviously worth a 4 star.More

A place outside the city that take you back in time through its setting, decor and service. Food is another thing that must be mentioned as it is exceptional - one of my favourite dishes was mushroom risotto. Staying there is more than worth a...price of taxi fare to townMore

The garden is located in a real park, which is extremely beautiful on warm summer days. The appetizers are exceptional and so is the traditional Serbian barbecue. A special and rare pleasure is the Rum Tart, which should be ordered in advance. Extremely skillful and...friendly staff headed by the owner Mr. Pera.More

Excellent place to have a lunch with family while it is snowing outside and warm fire from fireplace behind your back keeps you warm. Small restaurant hall is very cozy and private. Tasty warm wine is yummy. Steak and forest fruit dressing were above average....Lamb was delicious. Salad was not what we ordered ( they replaced lettuce and iceberg with cabbage without asking ). Not everything from the menu was available. Parking lot is big enough, but restaurant is far from the city and you have to be previously taken there to learn how to find it. Mountain cabin like decoration mixture with clasic elegance at the reception - cute. At the same time they do not keep the toilets down the stairs warm. Staff is more than kind. At the end - surprise! Digestive drink and coffee for the group of 7 were on the house!More

First impression from outside is rather poor but interior is quite nice. Service is OK and occasionally funny, but food is just perfect. Almost everything we ordered was 10 out of 10 along with chocolate cake for dessert.

This place has a lot of history but at the same time that typical Balkan attitude that either make you feeling like at home or very desperate. Relax and it will happen. The majority of food and some drinks are not only local but also...prepared or delivered for this restaurant only. Good choice. Tastes are basic, rough as traditional kitchen of that region always was. Forget about nouvelle cousine!More

This is not the place for gastronomy or service, maybe some kinda traditional Serbian wedding... Staff is nice but have no idea that English has to be spoken with foreigners. We had a lunch outside on the terrace with big trees that provides big shadows...during the heat, tables are big, but the food is definitely only for Serbian that like all over cooked, pork "côtelettes" (that is supposed to be rosé) comes as dry as over cooked and probably just tossed in plate like a vulgar flip flop, mashed potatoes without butter and seasoning (to Serbian, butter and margarin is the same, which tells everything), heart beef tomato (when there are so many kind tasty tomatoes, such as green zebra, pineapple tomato, tangerine tomatoes....) sliced with some poor olive oil and feta cheese, this very poor and spicy ajvar is proposed as well with some Turkish bread not even hot (cause Turkish bread is only acceptable hot) And for the dessert, some frozen cake Their choice is poor, no menu, only 2 or 3 specials Obviously only for the Serbian peopleMore

Our colleagues took us here for lunch The food is super tasty, homemade ajvar, bread, local ham and cheese. And for the main course we had "jaretina ispod saca" which I would recommend as a must try (it's a really famous local dish) . Excellent...wine list and the desserts were also very good.More

I would put this place under a must visit at least one in a life. The food is unforgettably good and who did not try Radmilovac ajvar doesn't know what ajvar is. The food is traditional but with a special touch of excellence becouse of...the master chefs details that make everything different and original. Excellent service from the experienced and professional waiters. If you can...ask for Bucko who will explain you in great word the history of the place(which is amazing)...and who will lead you through your stay at this place in a uniqe way. One of a kind! All the compliments to this guy becouse my stay was amazing thanx to his way of present things. Definitely a come back place :)More
