This hidden gem is well known to Belgradians as it is located in the area which is actually one street called Skadarlija, known for its excellent food. The walk into Stari Grad can either come through the tree lined roads of Dorcol or approached from parliament Square, south. This vintage urban area has a myriad of small cobblestone streets which date back to Ottoman rule. ( Tip: don't wear heels!) Arriving at the restaurant Tri Sesaria ( three hats) one should take a seat. No need to wait on ceremony at the entrance! Be mindful not to take up a table for 6 when you are a party of 2..this establishment caters for large groups. Tri Sesaria has a large covered outdoor area and a comfy indoor area. You will be given a warm welcome and a menu in Serbian and English. Don't be safe, the menu is extensive and the food divine. Orders arrive quickly and great care is taken to ensure a too class service. As you are pondering your order, the live music will not have gone unnoticed. Don't panic, the 5 man mobile band will not approach until your food is on the table. Of course they take requests but I suggest you leave the choice to them if your knowledge of Serbian folk music is non existent! You should provide a tip to the band around 500 RSD (4 euros) per song. They won't play more than you want, so embrace the experience! All in all a super local experience with great food at fair prices.

The food itself is tasty, Average price for a good location and filling. However the meal was let down by slow service, to the point where the front of house lady decided to give us the menus instead of the waiter after noticing my frustration, she did apologise. The waiter seemed to pay more attention to others around us and we waited 15 minutes for him to take the dishes and another 15 for the bill. We did enjoy the quartet who came around the tables playing.

Great traditional food, a restaurant that my grandpa visited when he was young, live music at every corner of the restaurant, friendly staff willing to make reservations in clubs for you. The food is delicious, take the meat platter if you don't know what you want, drink some rakija, preferably quince rakija (dunja) and have a lot of fun. Great for a romantic dinner, dinner with friends before clubbing, anything.

Last night in Belgrade and decided to eat here with a group of Serbian friends.. Traditional home style comfort food, reasonable prices, live music and plenty of shots of local spirits. Yes there are better restaurants but this did everything it ‘said on the tin’.. Our plates were empty and left very happy.

Went there after being recommend by a friend and don't regret. Food was good, the atmosphere was what people should expect in a place with musicians walking around playing from table to table, and we were lucky enough to have friendly staff supporting us during our meal. Price was fair for the quality. Don't complain about the smoke. It's allowed in Serbia, so, if you don't want that, just choose another place, instead of complaining.

We went to restaurant Tri šešira tonight because it had been highly recommended by the friendly and professional staff at the reception of the Saint Ten hotel. So our expectations were high! We arrived in the restaurant and 7 pm and were mistakenly guided to two tables before the waitress finally got the right one. After some time (it wasn’t mad busy) the waiter arrived and handed out the menu and left without asking us what we wanted to drink. Later on when we wanted to order we asked what ‘ćevapči’ meant. The waiter shrugged his shoulders and said it was Serbian food without any further explanation. We thought that was odd. The food was served and both main courses were at best lukewarm. It was quite tasty though and as we were quite peckish, we finished our meal. The last 15 minutes of our dinner we had empty glasses, but the waiter didn’t notice until specifically called upon. The (lovely) street is pedestrianised and there are maybe 15 restaurants and some bars on it. With lots of live traditional music being played, it’s a very nice place to be. Although pedestrianised, one car appeared on it and it stopped right outside our restaurant. A couple of guys came out and went inside the restaurant. I had to use the gents and saw our waiter handing (what looked like) quite a bit of cash to the guys. I couldn’t help wonder what that was all about. As indicated, there are maybe 10 to 15 restaurants near Tri šešira and if I were you … I would try one of the others. I would consider Tri šešira overpriced as well as unfriendly and serving cold food doesn’t help.

Very nice food and good traditional and authentic atmosphere with serbian music. Maybe a bit overprized as it is not the very best food I have tried, but it was great and waiters know very well what to recommend. The beef was cold and not very nice presented - it was kinda delicious, but I tried better elsewhere. 4 stars is more than enough for this place.

The food was not so bad, but the waiters are beyond rude. We had “medovaca”, it is liquer that they produce, and we asked the waiter how much degrees is the liquer that we were drinking, he told us it was 40%. Then we asked if we can buy one bottle, and the answer was yes, one 700ml bottle costs around 50 euros. When he came with the bottle I noticed that it was 25% degrees and told him I don’t want to buy it, because I was told It was 40%. After this he made a scene, he threw our bill on the table and rolled his eyes all the time. We are never going to come back here, since we don’t want to risk that some rude waiter is going to spoil our evening.

Whenever we have something to celebrate we love to come here, restaurant Three hats is place where you feel like AT home, stuff are very nice and fast, food is amazing and musicians are very kind, they are trying to respect each table with songs you want to hear. They have a lot of different types of wine and stuff can recommend the good one with dish you order. We always love to make reservation Just to make sure we Will have our table because They are always fully booked days before, and you can do that on website or you can call by Phone. My kindly recommendation. And luckly I has opportunity to see our famous tenis player, Best one in the World Novak Djokovic. It was amazing.

The food in one dish was good, even though it was served 45 mins after our order, but in the other, the chicken was semi raw. All the time you must call the waiters to come , so you can have menus or ordering. Generally unfriendly and rude staff. The tables and some dishes looked dirty and a few dishes were even cracked. Of course the prices are high enough for the "quality of service" that you receive. The musicians are for very long time over your head pressing for tips, proposing you the amount that you are going to give them too !!!! I would not recommend it surely .

After a lovely walk visiting the St Marks church and the Temple of Sava I decided to go for lunch and found this magnificent place in the Bohemian quarter . The staff were very friendly and were attentive . I decided to eat outside and loved the decor outside . The food was immense . I ordered the Karadordeva Snicla which is meat (I went for pork ) wrapped in breadcrumbs and cheese served with chips vegetables and tartare sauce . It was absolutely devine. If you are looking for traditional Serbian cuisine then definitely take a pop in here . You will love it .

When we came in to the restaurant they sent us to the back table outside the restaurant, that had dirty cloths. We waited 20 minutes to receive the menus not to mention that the food needed another 30 minutes to arrive. We asked if they could light the heater but they light up every other one except ours. They told us that they don’t have any gas but we saw it in the heater. Even when we asked them to close the curtain they waited for more then 40 minutes to do that. The food was good. But the wait was long.

we had pre-ordered bread and it was served at the same time as the main course. the glasses were empty but it took almost a quarter of an hour before we got new drinks. there were 6 of us and the main courses were not even served out at the same time. we had ordered meat but it tasted like fish because they fried it in old frying fat! They said they had no fish and then later on they Said, we don’t cook it in the same pan… sure buddy!
