One of my favorite restaurants in Belgrade

For the past two years, I’ve been coming to The Pijaca for breakfast every Saturday morning with my girlfriend. I’ve also brought family, friends, and work partners whenever they visit Belgrade. They all loved it as much as I do. The food is superb, waiters very pleasant and professional, and I love the ambience.

Fantastic place with superb food and atmosphere! The Cevapi and the Gurmanska pljeskavica was excellent with great taste. So was the Serbian Zvonko Bogdan wine! Great service as well.

The weekend live music is terrible. If you want to get lung cancer, it's perfect. Full of smoke, with rude service. Loud and kit

Best place in Belgrade! Everything is so great, food, waiters, interior. Love this place! I suggest to everyone! You have to try their cocktails too, the guys at the bar make them great

Absence of nonsmoking area

The meals are great, they have great cooks, but if you are a nonsmoker this is not a place for you, they do not have a non-smoking area which is like standard these days. Also long waiting for waiters.

Simply awful

A pretentious place with lousy service and uninteresting, overpriced food. Full of smoke. The location is far from the center. When we visited they had a terrible singer belting out tasteless Serbian folk "tunes" that made it impossible to have a normal conversation.

Amazing!

This restaurant is one of my new favorites in Belgrade. The service was amazing, the waiter was very professional and gave us great recommendations. Food is great, we ate meat, but next time we will definitely try something Italian. The portions are decent size, but not enough if you are very hungry. On the other hand, desserts are huge and also delicious. My favorites are pork ribs and apple crumble. Prices are okay for this type of restaurant. I loved the atmosphere and the music. The place is also great if you just want to have a drink. We will certainly come back again!

Lethargic service, uninteresting food

Waiters take forever to approach you and give you the menu even though there is a bunch of them standing idle. Smoking was apparently allowed in supposed "no smoking" area. Food was... I can't tell really because amount of curry in supposedly Italian cuisine was too high to taste anything else.

Simply amazing!!!

Love this place!!! Great atmosphere, nicely done interior, modern and cosy! Italian restaurant with a great food selection. My favourite was Foccacia with Picarone San Daniele prosciutto! Out waiter Borko was simpy amazing!! Attentive, professional with a great attitude. The biggest shining star is a Manager of the restaurant, Dejan Arandjelovic who welcomed us as a real host, and make sure we are enjoying every minut of our experience. Well done The Pijaca!! Wish you a great success!! We will definitely be back!

I expected more. The weighter said they have great lasagna and it's actually very very bad. Don't order lasagna ever. Pizzas are OK, weighters rarely visit your table and it's a nice interior. Food is just not good enough to come back. Nice place to have a drink though.

Can make it better

New and nice restaurant in my neighborhood. It's modern and well decorated, Italian restaurant. We had pasta and cordon blue. Pasta was perfect, but we ate much more better cordon blues. The biggest problem is that all restaurant is for smokers. So the tables for two persons are very close, next to each other, where people next to you smoke while you eat. For this high level restaurant, they should improve this.

Nice and modern place

This is large, modern and well decorated place. Menu offer is ok, dishes are simple but tasty. I was less happy with the service, our waiter was rather short and unfriendly coming over ... The worse thing, as almost everywhere in Belgrade is the fact that you may smoke inside and that almost everyone smokes ... your hair and clothes will stink for a long time after you live this place.
