Downtown and hungry?

If you're downtown and hungry, this is the place to be. The food arrives quickly most of the time and the portions are big enough even for an adult hungry Serbian male. :) The prices are really decent compared to the surroundings and having in mind the quality of the service. Excellent place for visitors to taste the traditional Serbian food.

what a pleasant surprise

I usually don't go to traditional restaurants like this one but I decided to give it a try and definitely didn't regret it. Food was really tasty and everything was well served. I ordered "bečka šnicla" and The meat was well prepared, tender and juicy, mashed potatoes tasted also good and I even got the sauce for the meat. Only the salat should have been a bit more salty. Stuff was also really pleasant. My friend and I ordered two deserts and usually we have to cut it by ourselves in order to share it but here we got two separate pieces from each cake. Desert was also delicious. Everything was beyond my expectations.

Enjoyable evening meal

Sitting outside on a summer’s evening is really nice and relaxing here, and there’s plenty of tables so I didn’t need a reservation. The service was a little difficult throughout my visit, but I’ll put that down to being unfamiliar with the local culture, since fortunately the quality of the food was great for the price. Warm fresh bread was brought as an appetiser and all of the meat dishes were cooked well and sizeable as portions. Getting the bill at the end was somewhat difficult but with the good atmosphere and quality of food I can’t complain - I’d happily return!

This place has a nice outdoors area, which is often full of people. That's about it. Well, we gave it two chances and both times the food was disappointing and served unappealingly, the service was slow and nothing really had any charm. Cooks there managed to make a poor tasting šopska salad and fried zucchini (how do you manage that!?).

Amazing local food

First time in Serbia and we wanted to try local cuisine. The receptionist of the hotel recommended us this small restaurant in the center of Belgrade. Compared to Mediterranean cuisine, the food is quite spicy (not like Turkish but similar) and strong, but it is very tasty. We really liked the chevapi, the kajmak and the ajvar. We've also tried a local drink of brandy rakija, but you can't drink it. 100% alcohol. All in all, the restaurant is amazing

Very good place to take a lunch with family or friends, very nice ambient and very hospitable employee. Ćevapi is the one of the bests that i try in Serbia, other meals too. I have very big pleasure to meet this place, see you soon.

Best place to eat Serbian food

Great food, Great service, great people. If you want to try REAL Serbian food its a must to go there!! I live this place cose I don't really like to go to touristic restaurants

Warm and pleasant place in the heart of the Belgrade

I just returned from the lunch with the friend - and I was delighted. Food was great, waiters very nice and friendly, atmosphere cozy... Give this pleace a try, will not regret!

Excellent traditional food

First of all - the food is excellent. You should try ćevapi, gibanica and other local specialties, everything is delicious! The staff is friendly and professional and the whole atmosphere is really charming, bringing the spirit of some older times. A fantastic experience, we are looking forward to visiting it again! :)

Traditional charm

This place offers excellent “ćevapi” and other traditional delicacies, but the charm and the atmosphere of old Belgrade is in the first place. Waiters are professional and so nice. The wine list is really good, too. We had a wonderful lunch!

Traditional Serbian food you eat with a spoon. Well cooked and just as good s it is in an Serbian home. They also have fenomenal cevapcici. But I love their filled zucchini. Good prices an good service.
