Nothing not to like. Great food, great service, great atmosphere. I go every time I'm in Bucuresti. Even if you have to wait for a table, it's not long and you can wait at the bar or look in the gift shop.

Our first night in Bucharest was at Caru cu Bere. We enjoyed Gourmet Romanian food plus a great Romanian Folkloric performance that included audience participation dancing. What a treat.

As a local this is the place I'd recommend to anybody visiting Bucharest. It's a great place with very good food that is reasonably priced, great service and that is located in a beautiful historical building in the Old City. In the evenings they often have entertainment such as traditional dancing and you might have to wait a bit for... More

We have arrived around noon and we took a table inside. Nice terrace also The food was very good - we have took 4 lunch menus - all of them were good . The soup excellent - the main menus with salad asside fullfilling and the dessert was very good as well. We have had the chance to have the... More

It's one of the most traditional restaurants of Romania, I was told by some friends, and the paintings and decoration inside are astounding. The prices are overall reasonably high, which is understandable considering their standards. If you're on a low budget, it may be not the best idea, but if you have some cash to spare on a good experience... More

This place is incredibly popular - you have to book to eat here in the evening, and they only keep your table for 15 minutes after the reservation time. The vast majority of diners seem to be tourists, but it's definitely a must-see, a Gothic hall with its own wooden staircase. Because it's so crowded, it can be difficult to... More

Lovely building... Mediocre otherwise The food wasn't fresh and although the portions are generous, just mass produced and lacking in taste. Apple pudding was slop. Skinless sausages were reheated and burned in my opinion. Just not worth it I'm afraid

Went here for dinner on a Friday evening in June. The food was to die for. Delicious traditional Romanian food and large portions! We wanted to try everything but we unable to finish because the portions come out so big. The homemade beer is also very good.

This restaurant definitely feels touristy, but the food is great and the place is lively and fun. We usually enjoy smaller places and were not too sure when we saw the queue, but we enjoyed our dinner there very much. Would recommend to any tourist visiting Bucharest.
