We ate here for the first time yesterday, despite living in Bucharest for nine years. It was my husband's birthday and the great reviews made me choose it.
It is a good restaurant but not one which I would choose again for a birthday meal - it's nice but not very 'special'.
The starter of a shared platter was very good - we also ordered a starter of prawns which were relatively expensive (55 Ron/€11) and not very good- very few prawns covered in a kind of rose -marie sauce. If you've had sizzling garlic butter prawns in Madrid, you won't want these. The main of a mixed grill was good (if a relatively small portion again.) The desert of melt-in-the-middle chocolate pudding with vanilla ice cream was very nice.
Our waiter was Ștefan - courteous, friendly and knowledgeable - a professional who definitely enhanced our experience.

I state that we are not lovers of this type of cuisine, yet we were particularly impressed! In addition to the great food, hearty dishes and caring also in appearance, the service adds a note of quality: we were advised and served beautifully!

The was hands-down the best meal we had in Bucharest. We came on the strength of other reviews on trip advisor and we were so glad we did. Not only was the food incredible but we had a divine bottle of wine, dry prosecco, and the best service imaginable. I hesitate to be too effusive for fear that we'll never be able to get in if/when we return. You will not regret an evening spent at sharkia.

I highly recommend the Sharkia restaurant for its varied and exceptionally tasty menu, the pleasant and welcoming atmosphere, the extremely friendly and attentive staff, as well as its excellent location, right in the heart of Bucharest. The portions are generous, and the dishes are delicious. The Tabouleh salad, Sharkia shawarma, and the cold appetizer platter, “East European Plate,” impressed us with their freshness and authenticity. Both the food and the service were impeccable, making Sharkia a culinary destination we will gladly choose again.

I had a wonderful experience at Sharkia! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the food was absolutely delicious authentic Lebanese flavors that truly impressed me. The environment didn't say anything special.
A little shop with weird tables in and out, you ate and some dust.
His dishes were delicious but amazingly small.
We took a variety of meat and it had a piece of pork, a steak (very unpleasant) and three buckets of chicken (sweet).
However, the price was higher enough for Greek variety with at least 3 slices of each, with pie and good nice.
In general we did not get full though we paid 150€ three people (a girl who ate a little).
We didn't have wine, just three beers.
And to tell you the truth, we were two candies that were a snack for everyone.

We had a wonderful meal at Sharkia! Sometimes hotel restaurants make me nervous, but we had nothing to fear. The ambiance was solid, the food amazingly delicious and fresh, and our server Madalin (aka Djockovic) was attentive and anticipated our every need. We ve been looking for a gluten free options restaurant . They explained what we can have and they was very careful with not mixing the gluten free one with others, also they used gloves when bringing the food .

It was on our last day in Bucharest that we found this gem of a place. Sharkia offers Mediterranean cuisine and it was to die for! We had a lavash, beef shawarma and a knafeh for dessert, all of which were expertly cooked and served by a wonderful group of people. The meat was tender and beautifully seasoned and the portions were generously sized. We were first met by Ramona who explained the menu and made very helpful suggestions. She was warm and friendly and we had a great chat. As she was finishing a shift, she took the time to say goodbye and explain who would be looking after us. We then were greeted by Marius, a maths Olympiad competitor, who calculated our bill in seconds and spoke in several languages! We were not rushed and we had a lovely time. I would absolutely recommend it!

This restaurant is located in the lobby of the Park Inn hotel right in the heart of Bucharest.
They offer an English menu and all the staff speaks English fluently and giving a great service with a smile.
The choices to choose from are good and and the food quality is very tasty!
I highly recommend to take the sharing platter from the first course if you are 3 or more as it's amazing small portions of great tastes.

Had a great time, occasion was a team dinner.
They went above and beyond to accommodate us, a large group of 20+ people, and the atmosphere was so relaxed and enjoyable.
When arrived, everything was set up, menu printed for each guest, serving was perfect and food was delicious.

The experience at Sharkia was wonderful. From the staff to the food everything was just perfect. Our server Claudia was very kind and professional and provided us with all the information we needed. We came here for dinner and every item we ordered was tasty and beautifully plated. I personally can say it’s the best mediterranean restaurant in Bucharest from the many I’ve tried and i will sure be coming back to this amazing place with cozy and magic atmosphere !

Really impressed with this restaurant, the waiters were extremely professional and attentive, Peter was exceptionally professional and really stood out.

Spent a night at this wonderful small restaurant as part of our stay at the Park Inn hotel. Normally I would not choose a hotel restaurant, but the earlier rates in combination with tempting Libaneese dishes did the trick and we do not regret it at all. This restaurant is professional on all levels without being posh and over priced. Thanks to Vali for a lovely dinner expereience.

We are beef shawarma, falafel pita and knafeh.
The falafel pita was very good, a little spicy even.
The beef shawarma was bad, I was hoping to be a blast of nice aromas but no, the meat was dry and was actually a beef pastrami kept in the fridge way too long, and they say marinated in pineapple but I couldn't find the taste of pineapple anywhere. Definitely avoid it!
The knafeh was interesting, but different from the original recipe. It had fresh cow cheese and not the mozzarella like cheese you get in the traditional knafeh, and topped with honey. You can try it, but it's not what you expect.
The design of the restaurant is rather western style, not oriental. Many tourists eat here, I would say it's a little tourists trap.
Overall I don't recommend this restaurant, not sure how it got in the top restaurants for Bucharest to be honest, I ended up here based on the reviews and was very disappointed as I'm a big fan of oriental food.
