Beca's is such a nice restaurant, tasteful yet unpretentious and cozy. On our most recent visit we just had an apple and pear tart, which was delightful - light and not too sweet, but just right so it makes you happy and not feel guilty...afterwards :). We have been there a few years ago as well for a full meal (don't remember exactly what we had) and now we had the pleasant surprise to find nothing changed, in the best sense.More

All the good things you have heard about Beca's Kitchen are absolutely true. Great food, friendly service and personal attention from Beca herself. ...and the food even managed to make a vegetarian out of a carnivore!

Some 4-5 years ago I came across this restaurant which, with its lovely atmosphere and French bistro music and charmed me right away, so much that I have come back twice a year ever since. This is of course owed largely to the cooking and...the dishes served - always good and tasty. However, after almost 10 consecutive visits over the past years I can say that almost nothing on the menu has changed. Sure there are minor changes to sides but the dishes are almost the same, so are the deserts. Always good, I should highlight, always tasty, but I am now wondering if they're only sticking to these for lack of imagination or because they know only these work. Whatever the reason, I recommend the place for tasty dishes and a place with soul.More

I booked this based purely on TripAdvisor reviews. I then found a very favourable review in The Guardian, which further convinced me it would be a good choice. It is a hidden gem. Hidden as in the restaurant itself is very unassuming in appearance. If...you were walking past it accidentally you would barely notice its existence. We were looking for it and still weren't sure..even standing right outside it :) Now, we had arrived later into Bucharest than expected, and further delayed by the awful Friday night traffic. I emailed Beca to warn her we might be a bit late, and after that she had the decency to text me to check we were OK when en route. Now that's what I call customer service! Once inside the welcome was friendly and warm. The restaurant is simply decorated to the point of being minimalist, which we loved and added to that it was lovely and warm on a bitterly cold night. We ordered beers and sat down to look at the menu - this is on chalk boards dotted around. As we perused the choices, Beca herself then came over and talked us through the items on the menu, and how she prepared and cooked them. She also took the time to ask us if we had any preferences. When the chef and owner takes the time and care (20 minutes or more) to do this, I think it's a sign of good things to come. The food was simply sublime, and on Beca's recommendation we mixed up the starter and main course dishes as well as the dessert to make sure we all had a taster of some of the fayre on offer. We spent nearly 4 hours here, eating and drinking the lovely wines, the plum brandy was superb and the whole evening was perfect preparation for the 20 minute walk in some of the coldest weather I remember to the Old Town for nightcaps (until 2am lol). Prices were very reasonable for such first class food and drink, and I would highly recommend this to any of my friends and family such is the top quality of the whole evening. Thank you Beca for making us truly welcome in Bucharest.More

I was here for dinner together with my wife. We had the Cream Soup and the Hummus, both dishes were delicious. For drinks I recommend the ginger home made juice. We got to meet the chef also, who was really nice and made room for...us two even though it was a crowded night. We will deffinetly come back!More

This is one the beat restaurants in the city hands down. The atmosphere is so much light and cozy (just like I'm a guest in a friends apartment), Beca is like a ray of sunshine and the staff are extremely friendly. The food is absolutely...amazing and prepared quicklY and the deserts were excellent. This is a must-visit for everyone in Bucharest.More

Beca’s kitchen is a small restaurant with few tables, but a nice atmosphere and very good food. The menu is kind of restrictive: you have only few options, and they change constantly, but I expected to be like that given the fresh ingredients-homemade food concept....The opening hours are also restrictive and you need a reservation.More
