This is the most surprising place in Bucharest's city center. Inside an old building, they say that it's actually the oldest cafe in the city's history, We found amazingly good food, a nice service and more than decent prices.
Now let's talk about the food and drinks - wow! Their menu is a culinary masterpiece, with an impressive range of choices suitable for any palate. Whether you're a coffee connoisseur or a food enthusiast, there's something for everyone.
We went for the beef carpaccio, penne quattro formaggi and a deliciously juicy burger. Not disappointed.
Pro tip: if you want to see how the place actually looked two centruies ago, step inside the underground level and see an amazingly preserved decor.

Great place with a great history, with a great design and very kind staff. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is calm and cozy, I recommend Thursday's nights when live bands can be listened.

Restaurant located at the start of the old town, calmer than the busy restaurants a little further away. Pleasant terrace on the busy street.
I ate there one evening with a colleague, we ordered the grilled mix which was very generous with a salad and slices of pizza bread on the side. + a beer and a large bottle of water for a very reasonable price. 22€ tip included

Had an amazing dinner here 2 days ago so came back for lunch. Got a burger and parmesan chips. Burger was fabulous but they need to reword menu. I expected to get proper chips with cheese not a plate full of crisps

I honestly must say that I never seen a place like this in Old Town, they truly did their homework. Every detail is on point, from the delightful design wich was made with a lot of good taste and delicacy to the attention that food is prepared and served. The menu is varied, having both international and romanian specifics. The atmosphere is enchanting and full of culture and history, the stuff is lovely and welcoming and very prompt. It is a nice and peaceful place where you can go to have a relaxing night and taste some really good food. I had a great experience here, and I surely will come back. 🌟👍

Great, above expectations food in a rather unknown place in the old center of Bucharest.
Very good pizza, delicious spicy oil, juicy burgers, but above all, the Parmesan chips are a treat.
They have good coffee, but also great cocktails for a night out.
I wish both to keep this place a secret, and to share it with everyone, at the same time.
Do recommend.

A place full of history, which I read about in an article. The food was very tasty, the location is so beautiful and welcoming! We thank the young lady who told us about the food and the chef for following the story! We'll be back with love!

We went for dinner and we were very pleased with the restaurant. I definitely recommend it. It's quiet, clean and the food is prepared with care and served quickly.
I can say that it is one of the best places to eat in Old Town.
Especially the freshly prepared seafood pasta is very good. There are also burger plates for kids.

It is a cozy location with very good food. The people there treat you nice and the have a really good service. Alo, I was impressed by the food and they have a nice variety of drinks. For the nonalcoholic drinks I recommend Wild Cherry

I held a business workshop on location and everything went smooth. They have a private business lounge downstairs, as well as plenty of room for a workshop on either of the floors.
The menu was customized and the service was flawless. It's a pretty good alternative for business meetings and 20+ people workshops and clearly something else, when compared to the more traditional business locations.

Downstairs in the cellar below the cafe and bar is a vault with tables, where standup comedy is performed, and also where (as in our case) there are occasional concerts. We heard the singer Alma Nicole, accompanied by Ciprian Iacob on electric piano. It is a fine venue for this kind of intimate performance, with capacity for less than 100, a small bar with limited options at the opposite end to the performace area, and the possibility (if you wanted) of a snack brought down from upstairs i.e. nachos or pizza. This cellar club/cafe was evidently frequented by Mihai Eminescu and Ion Luca Caragiale in the late 19th century. The concert itself was very pleasant, including US standards, covers of British artists (Adele, Coldplay, Oasis) and, happily, some Romanian songs by Maria Tanase. Table service and at the bar was good, and other facilities (toilets etc) were of a high standard. Depending on whether what is on offer in the repertoire is to your taste, this would be a very good place for a relaxed evening of entertainment and is recommended.

Lovely quaint bar in a beautiful square. Came for a beer in the sunshine. Service is a little slow and no Romanian beers on draft but otherwise a great bar.

The service was very bad, no friendly man, but their only interest was a footballmatch on the screen.
Food was awfull, three dry sauseices (I expected meat) and a plate filled with chips instead of fries ( french fries).
Never going back again, not even if they pay me a good sum of money.
Better gonna eat at de other side, City Grill, that 100% better and more friendly!
