finally, a restaurant we walked away from happy

we've had some trouble finding a decent restaurant despite recommendations. our tour guide recommended this one, and while the main dish they serve (coclinta) doesn't really justify the atmosphere and prices, the food was good, and the service was classy. overall, definitely recommend.

Something different , something special, you have to try

We ordered 4 "coclinta" and 3 lemonade & 1 crafted beer. From the house a caviar salad with a fresh baguette. Everything was fresh, the food also fresh and hot, they make everything fresh. We highly recommend to try this place. 🥰 The food is special and we found this specialty just in here.🤗

Excellent unique pie

Five stars for pies, for quick and polite service. The pies are very good and big enough(3th picture) . You get a small starter from the house (see 1st picture). The place is nice and cozy, clean bathroom. One star for the ridiculous near table neighbors. The table are to close and you have lack of intimacy. (2nd picture)

Horrible straff

It's been one of the worst experiences I've had lately when it comes to staff. After I sat down at one of the tables outside l have asked the gentleman in charge of our order (a man in his 40s) if me and my girlfriend can move inside because it was cold (inside was just one busy table out of all 8-9). The man answers me in a superior and nonchalant tone that I need a reservation). I said ok, I can understand, even if there were 90% of tables free and I think that not all reservations came in the next half hour). We stayed for another 2 minutes and the table next to us outside was invited by the very gentleman inside. When I asked him" excuse me, can we no go inside", the gentleman replied that "you can't sir what you don't understand that you need a reservation". I said " ok, I understand this, but for the table next to us why was it possible? " The answer was the one expected "because it was possible" What to say ... it made me lose my appetite and i will never go back again because of the staff

The staff was a disaster

The staff was a disaster. I was with my friend there and we decided to skip tables as the ladies next to our table were talking very loudly ( the tables are so close one to another). There was not any other table for 2 available, so we sat at a table for 4. There were other tables for 4 or 8 available besides the one we sat at. We waited for aprox 15 min for someone to take our order and a waiter is his 40’s, Claudiu, came to us finally, but not for taking our order. Using a rude and arrogant tone, told us we have to move to another table for 2. We told him about the reason we moved and that if other clients (3 or more) will come, we will change tables. Instead he replied that he will not serve us if you do not change tables. I could not believe that! So, the conclusion: there were other tables available for 4, there weren’t clients waiting to sit and still he refused to serve us. It was a horrible and unexpected experience, actually the worst I had in Bucharest as a person living in Bucharest. Ps: I was asking the waiter about his complete name in order to submitt a complaint and he replicated, in a superior and innacceptable manner, that saying the surname was enough for me.

horrible staff. the gentleman that was serving whose name is Claudiu, was extremely rude and didn't really want to serve us because we wouldn't have sat at a table he wanted. I will never go there again

the food was delicious and the servers very quick and proactive. the decor manages to ride a line between kitsch and refined which I personally love, and the fans they had were just enough to make our hot summer lunch bearable.

A place with pies to dream on.

Coclinta is a place like a childhood holiday, a place where you can eat great dishies made by your grand mother: a fabulous eggplant salad, roefish salad, great starters and beautiful filled pies-coclinte . You can see how your coclinta is made in front of you!!! The staff are friendly and welcoming every time .

The cheese pie is the best one

Why I love this place: The "coclinta" with multiple types of cheeses is amazing. Haven't tried the desserts ones, but they are next on my list. Been here twice already since is close to city center. Both times the waiters were extremely nice and attentive. The cocktails are nice. Group of fove shared two big coclintas and they were more than enough. I do recommend for each to take a different one so that you can enjoy multiple flavours.

Best pie and mulled wine

Loved everything about the place: from service to design and the food, all was of great taste. The "coclinta" with maturated cheeses is a big hit in our family, plus the kids kept on asking for the dessert versions. Sugar rush, if you know what I mean!We will return for sure!

Good ingredients, good taste

I went with my almost 4 years daughter to have a quick lunch in expectation of dinner. We ordered a spinach, cheese and olive pie and for desert a pie, half honey and, half forest fruits. Because the waiter herd my daughter she is hungry, before receiving the pie he brought us on the house an Eggplant Dip, which tasted like my grandmother use to cook. What can I say about the pies: incredible taste, I wasn't expecting to be so good, the special milk cream from the sweet pie extraordinary. It's a must to try it. The service was quick, helpful but not aggressive present. Because we didn't finish the big portions, when we asked we recieve the leftovers in dedicated boxes. We shall come back for the wonderful taste.

An excellent place to enjoy a fresh delicious pie. There’s a mix of Romanian ingredients and recipes with modern flavours. If you can’t finish it, take it to go, don’t waste a thing!
