Went there to do some work - place itself is pretty nice, although they have no eye for details at all - cheap plastic cameras visibly mounted, the cleaning stuff is parked in the front entrance, some of the furniture looks really rugged, but not in a good way, a shiny LED lit Coca Cola advertisement grossly contrasting the imperial... Being Belgian myself I felt awkwardly at home here with my Dutch fellows. Met many friends and heard the Dutch language during Holland football matches. The atmosphere is great and the food is fantastic. It's a cosy place with a grand location in Centru Vechi. Their terrace is my favorite aspect and during the summer will be yours too. This... More

My husband and I stopped here for lunch on a hot afternoon. Our Romanian friend had recommended this restaurant and the cooling misters on a relatively quiet street were inviting. Our Dutch-inspired entrées were delicious and our server was very friendly with great English.

Stellar prices. Molecular portions. Full of locals females trying to be appreciated by expats. Try the local specialty "female Literature students". Rude staff.

Called for drinks, sat outside people watching. Quick friendly service - English speaking waiter. Free wifi. Nice area in old town with relaxed atmosphere. My husband had fresh lemonade with honey served in a jar and said it was delicious.

Lovely terrace and bar area. We had a glass of wine there as a nightcap last evening and were impressed by the venue. We waited over half an hour for the waiter to collect the money but did decide to revisit for breakfast the following morning. Unfortunately, I'm unable to comment on breakfast as we waited 45 minutes to be... More

We found the Grand Cafe Van Gogh as we were wandering around the old town. We ate lunch outside. It was just off the main street so quieter than some of the other restaurants we saw (a good thing for us!) and the waitress was friendly and helpful. The food was good quality. When we ventured back out for evening... More

For a first time traveler to Bucharest this is a good reliable place if you dont want to visit too many restaurants and yet experience typical Romanian fare . Also, this is one of the first places that comes to my mind for good standard international/continental food. So its a good place both for those who want to experiment and... More

Pleasant cafe on a hot night. Street entertainment. Cold beer. Delicious Italian burger with wedged. Just what we needed on arrival.
