Stopped in for a light late lunch today. We had walked by these places along the river yesterday, so decided to give this place a try. Most of the items on the menu were dinner, but we saw the garlic parm fries so we decided to give them a try. They were so good, we ordered a second portion. The service was fair. The server wasn't friendly, but gave us typical European service. The prices are par for the course for this location ($6 for fries), and they did add a service charge of 10 Leu on a 102 Leu bill. Can't comment on the other food, since all we had were the fries.

Nice place on the river, with friendly and efficient staff, although times are what they are. Wide choice of dishes, with high costs, like almost everywhere else in the capital (avoid the bottle of water, practically 5 euros). For the rest: good ribs, but not excellent (around 12 euros); rich and quite good vegetarian platou (about 7 euros).

Slow service. The french fries with garlic and parmesan were really great, but the rest of the food was ok-ish, but not great and definetly not value for money. The location is very nice especially on a sunny day.

Imagine a warm and pleasant Saturday afternoon when you decide to meet up with some good friends at a terrace on the bank of Dambovita. You are one step closer to nature in the middle of the "busy city life" and enjoy your portion of food and friendly stories in peace.
Nothing seems to predict the end.
You decide to leave and pay the bill. Towards the end, you are rudely told by Mihai, the person who checked your bill that you didn't leave 10% tip like the "civilized" people do.
It would be civilized not to bring this aspect into discussion, but to leave it exclusively to the customer's discretion, as well as whether he wants to leave you a tip.
It should not be forgotten that this tip is a bonus offered based on work performance, not alms.
And even if it were alms, let's remember that: "The outstretched hand that does not tell a story receives nothing."

Order at the location a Flat White. When the check came, the Flat White was notes as two dofferent drinks since they didn’t had it on the menu(the staff didn’t communicate this to me). Told them that this is the first time i have ever seen this and that this is not a correct approach, but it didn’t seem to matter to the . Their response was “that this is my opinion”.

The duck salad was surprisingly very good! However, Aperol Spritz didn’t have enough alcohol. 10% tips were included in the bill by default, without informing us about that. As a result, we almost ended up leaving another 10% on top of the amount already paid. So watch out for that!!!

Not bad for this town. Drinks are always properly cold. Service fast & nice.
On saturday afternoons there is FISHING going on nearby [yes there is some catch].
Among a row of quite similar joints along the river, this is where I ended up three weekends in a row, intending to persevere.

Nice location, but the staff is arrogant and condescending. I asked for a certain kind of water but they got us the more expensive version. They didn’t let us pick a 4 persons table (we were just 2) even if the place was pretty empty. Bit too pricey for what they offer!

Lovely setting, right by the river and the fountains. Trendy and modern. Good choice of food and drinks. You can sit inside or out, inside has floor to ceiling window so still a great view.

A very nice location, with attentive personnel. The food was good. We had some duck, salads, and pasta. Not too expensive, but not for every pocket. The reason I rated it 4 out of 5 was the smoke. People were smoking in the restaurant, I couldn’t figure out the reason they were allowed to smoke…

Seems that other people had the same experience as mine. An employee was started being angry at us because we did not give him 10% tips. Based on the reviews, other people had the same experience in the past, so it seems that the management doesn’t care. This place is a big NO.

I always have a pleasant evening when I choose to go out here. The staff delights me every time with their attention and promptness. The duck with sweet potatoes is delicious here and I highly recommend it.

Unfriendly, unpleasant and unprofessional waiter, bad quality and super expensive food for what we got (really bad quality/price ratio), very slow service, it looks like they landed at this nice place of the canal just by chance and not at all for some restoration competences!
In addition, they propose cocktails on the card but serve completely different one (it seems they reinvent classic cocktails…)
We will never come again there!
I do not recommend and discourage people to go there, except you are looking for a bad experience !
