The restaurant is typically Italian and proposes a vast culinary offer, but we are best recognized for our daily fresh fish offer. Thanks to the contacts that Mr. Viorel Nica has made, twice a week we receive fresh fish imported directly, without intermediary from the Port of Mazzara Del Vallo in Sicily. Currently Ristorante Isoletta is considered to be the best fish and sea food kitchen in Bucharest.

Quick Business Lunch

I had a very quick business lunch here before heading back to the airport. We were a large group and we were in a haste yet we had a very good experience both in terms of meals and service. Our menu was preset, so we did not have to wait. The service speed was very in line with our timing needs and all staff was very attentive despite the time limitations. The seafood based menu we had was delicious. The dessert choices were very satisfactory as well. We sat outside as it was a very warm March day and the outdoor section looking into the lake was very nice. Indoor part’s decoration was luxurious. As I was invited to this lunch, I have no idea about prices but I can say it was a very nice experience and can recommend this restaurant for special occasions

Every time we are in Bucharest we love going to this restaurant. We sat on the terrace, beautiful location right by the lake. The service was very attentive but not intrusive. We had tuna fillet, which was very tasty, although I can't say the same about my ribeye. The wine was very tasty and because there were only two bottles in stock, our waitress "reserved" the second bottle in case we wanted it too, but it might have been sold by colleagues in the meantime. The atmosphere is very nice, and the toilets (the "calling card" of a restaurant) are clean and perfumed. Fortunately, there are few tourists in terms of the clientele; it is an expensive location with local customers.

nice atmosphere and nice food

The place is really nice as it is by the lake. The menu was good and I was very impressed with the Seabass in a salt crust. I sat outside to get a good view. The service was nice. There was so many bees when I visited but the staff tried hard to find the method to chase it away as they know I didn't like it. A good choice to eat

All smoke and no fire

As we say, all smoke and fire. My wife and I went on Sunday. Once we reach the restaurant they accompany us to the table. A menu that looked like the university's private law book, but inside there were a few pages indicating the exorbitant prices of dishes that they said present Italian cuisine. I immediately notice a hair that shouldn't have been in the table cover and that's okay... it can happen, We ask for two small beers and two first courses: linguine with clams for me and porcini mushrooms for my wife. The waiter returns reporting the unavailability of the clams. At which point I decide to have the linguine with porcini mushrooms too. The mail arrives, it smells good but as soon as I put it in my mouth I immediately realize that it was raw, it needed at least 3 or 4 minutes extra cooking to be al dente. The second course was two steaks of tuna with rocket. The tuna was also good but the rocket had very thick stems and it was clear that it had not been processed. Then my wife asked for fruit. No fruit! Maybe if she wanted a mix with pineapple. My wife accepts the compromise but the waiter immediately comes back and says that unfortunately the mix isn't available either and asks if she only likes pineapple. At least 15 minutes pass, considering that the Locare had just two or three place settings on duty, the pineapple arrives... immature. We give ourselves airs of Italian cuisine, but there is absolutely nothing Italian about it, just as there is no attention to the customer. All crowned by an astronomical bill of around 700 lei. The location is magnificent but for the rest it is absolutely insufficient.

Worst restaurant in Herastrau by far

Stopped by for lunch on a weekend and received the worst service possible. Took about 10 minutes for someone to take our order and we both ordered pasta. The paste took an hour to arrive. We were charged 10 euros for one spoon of parmesan. The pasta was decent at best. My girlfriend ordered water and only had half a glass of water poured and the bottle taken away. In the end they brought me the wrong bill which was from a different table and was 10x more expensive than ours. Will never return under any circumstance and cannot recommend this venue for anyone.

I had lunch at this restaurant with a friend in May. I've been here in the past years but this time I noticed that things have changed for the worse. Tasteless and extremely expensive food, boring atmosphere. I paid 200 euros for two salads and a seabass. I don't want to talk about the fact that it was extremely expensive in my opinion (every restaurant makes its prices according to demand) but the fact that the cutlery I received was dirty. I was shocked to see that at such a restaurant you get a fork full of rust and dirt. I will never return to this restaurant.

Excellent steak and wine

I thought this is an overrated restaurant, but I was pleasantly surprised by very nice waiters, a good wine menu and an amazing beef steak, perfectly cooked. I will surely return here.

My partner booked a table for my 50th birthday - in his email, he asked for a window seat with a view of the lake, explaining it was my birthday. He received confirmation that a window table had been reserved. Well, the table was certainly by the window, but since two other sliding windows had been pushed back over ours, you could see absolutely nothing of the lake through three panes of double glazed glass. It was the worst table in the room, also being directly under a speaker. The food was good - but no better than Mezzaluna for example, yet twice as expensive. You're paying for the location - that wonderful view of the lake....ah yes, I may have already mentioned - there was no view of the lake.

Fresh Fish

this is a trendy place, where you go to see, being seeing and above all for the excellent fresh fish they serve. the restaurant is situated in the upper part of Bucharest by a big lake. during the summer season you can eat outside on the garden; in winter the lovely comfy interior will welcome you. the menu card is extend with Italian specialties; the wine card offers some really good white and reds; staff is friendly. this is fine dinning.
