This restaurant is always a safe choice for us because we really enjoy their food. We usually get the combo menu, which has about four different Mexican dishes, together with Papas Fritas (fries). This time we each tried the 1kg (!!!) burritos with beef, which was a very good choice considering that we were starving. The burritos had everything to make them tasty and, in the end, we still couldn't eat them all so we took some of it at home. As far as drinks go, I recommend the Pina Colada, which is simply perfect - very very tasty and not too sweet. The prices and the service are ok as well.
Unfortunately, this time we didn't make a reservation before getting there so there were no places left for non-smokers and we had to stay in the smokers part. This wasn't the best of ideas as that part of the restaurant was full of smoke and for a non-smoker this can get pretty unbearable for breathing and because of the smell. But again, we didn't make a reservation beforehand, so it was our fault. Therefore, please make sure that you book a table before getting there, just to make sure that your visit suits your tastes. Enjoy!

We were keen to try this restaurant during our stay in Bucharest. We visited on a weekday lunchtime and it was quiet - ideal for us. The food was delicious and it was well presented. We had a large plate that included a variety of dishes between the two of us. For the amount we ordered, the food was reasonably priced. Additionally, the restaurant decor was vibrant and there was Mexican music playing in the background. This made for a very pleasant lunch stop.
We tried to get a table here on Saturday night but they didn’t have any availability unless we had already booked, so I recommend booking if you plan on visiting during the weekend.

Second time coming here with my husband. Delicious food, always well cooked, atmosphere very true to the Mexican theme. The staff seems a little overworked during busy hours, of course it’s not their fault, but they could consider hiring one or two more servers at least for Fridays and the weekend. I totally recommend it for an authentic, refreshing experience if you’re bored of regular restaurants!

Our mistake was not making a reservation for two couples on a Saturday evening for dinner, but we did get a small coffee table on the terrace. Since it would have been impossible eating there, we asked the kind waitress to have us sit at a bigger table when the food arrived, only if possible. The place wasn’t packed si we moved at that table and as soon as the food arrived and we start eating( food is great by the way, if you like mexican dishes, really good!) this manager(i think) lady, comes right up to us and out of the blue asked us to get a reservation for a bigger table next time!!:))
I mean, as we were eating, man, talk about rude!
Don’t know if she’s the manager, but please learn some common sense and manners! Don’t scold your clients as they eat! So yeah, food is great, waitress so cute and friendly....but boy did we left the place feeling awkward!

We ordered tacos and soups, never got to try the food because after two hours we still didn’t have anything to eat. I understand some dishes take time, but waiting two hours for tacos and soups is ridiculous. Never coming here again.

It’s not the first time that I am coming to Taqueria El Torito, however I drunk one Raspberry Fruity Margarita this time and it was not what I had expected. It only tasted like sugar, like 1 kg of sugar in one glass, I didn’t felt the taste of raspberry and I think it had only 3 drops of alcohol.
So, who is preparing at the bar the margaritas please keep the old recipe because this time was very very very bad. We were 4 ladies at the table and we had the same opinion that margarita is not good anymore at Taqueria El Torito.

We came here on a Sunday evening and we were lucky to have live latino music. Maybe it's a little loud for some tastes but a nice thing to have. The food really tasty and the Jaritos drinks good. What i will give some little minuses was the fact that the waitress forgot to bring a sauce, i asked her again for it..and it only appeard on the receipt. I explained the situation and it was no problem but still was a mistake. Also, the service is a little slow and the machines for ordering on the tables don't really work. Also, they promote the Jaritos drinks but had only 3 flavours that night which was sad. With these corrected it could have been an easy 5 star rating.

Delicious food. Tried for the first time but we will come back for sure. Guacamole is very tasteful and the burrito the same, just delicious. Very nice atmosphere and the guys are nice as well and friendly. We really enjoyed.

We were strolling around the city and we found Taqueria El Torito restaurant. We are from Florida and we have often Mexican food and know what it tastes like.
The food here is amazing. our server's name was I think Aura or meaning Aura she speaks very good English and was nice to us.
We are definitely going back soon.

The moment we laid eyes on the restaurants we knew we were going to have an interesting experience. Once we inspected the menu, which had a very unique look, we ordered 2 combo platers and some other things (including a very good, very spicy, salsa). After the quick prep time for the food we were greeted by 2 giant platers filed to the brim with food. Tacos, quesadillas, nachos, guacamole, everything I could've hoped for was there. After we finished the meal with a mango cheesecake and lemon mousse, we left with a big smile on our faces and thanked or host Costi for great service!

The spicy wings were more salty than spicy. They were supposed to be spiced with jalapeños and lime juice, but they were just salty. Jalapeños were not fresh (some sort of pickled jalapeños, probably marinated in brine). Beef tacos were like eating pure salt. Actually, there was no flavor to be detected due to amount of salt. The Aztec soup was a bowl of salty tomato juice, with some fragments of nachos and avocado floating here and there. Not able to finish it, as I became concerned about my blood pressure already. The music was load but the cocktails were yummy. To get an idea about how salty the food was, the only things not over salted were the Margaritas.

We arrived around 19:30, as we thought we booked a reservation here but unfortunately it was the other restaurant. The waitress said she can sit us on table and this will be free until 21:00.
We waited for around 10 mins and still had no menu to look at or to ask which drinks we would like. We asked around three times for a menu before we finally got some, along with a free bowl of crisps and dip.
We waited a further 15 minutes or so, and no one still came to ask what we would like to order. There had been other groups that arrived to different tables and even they had been served before us , already eating their food.
It was like they could not be bothered to serve us. We eventually got up and left around 20:00 as we felt like they did not want to serve us. Such a shame as the food did look nice

Certainly falls short of authentic Mexican cuisine. Primarily in the salsa category as no salsa included in the mixed platters or taquitos, in fact their version of nachos is awful. Recon this Texan might be a bit used to the real thing lol.

It is located in the Parliament area.
After tasting the local cuisine I wanted to try some Mexican food.
In this restaurant you will feel catapulted into Mexico.
Beautiful music, Mexican location with attention to the smallest details, with two large rooms.
I loved it for the environment and the excellent food.
Plus it's truly INSTAGRAMABLE
You can wear your sombrero and cuddle their cats.
The menu is full of many Mexican dishes, it's there
Spoiled for choice and they are SUPER plentiful!!!
You can choose: hot soups, nachos, tacos, burritos, etc etc... there is something for all tastes
I ordered:
Sweet tacos;
Tacos de arrachera (with delicious pieces of beef);
Pico de gallo (nachos accompanied by a sauce of tomatoes, onion, jalapenos);
Sweet:
Mango Cheescake (Delicious)
Wide choice of cocktails.
I recommend you stop by on your next holiday in Bucharest.

We discovered this restaurant almost 2 years ago and it become our soul restaurant.
Every time when there is live music, especially when Fabian Sanchez is singing, we are there.
The food is delicious, the environment is very friendly, a lot of colors, it's like we are in Mexico. The waitresses are very kind, the serving is impeccable.
I really recommend, it totally worth it!
