We ordered some entrees that were ok, but for a main course I had lamb, in a menu the price was 87 leu for 100 gr. I also ordered grilled vegetables. What arrived was a half of kilo of pure mutton fat (no meat at all), with a half of potato and the rest of the dish was oil soaked... More

Thought about La Placente (no 1 on TA) but saw it was indeed a fast food joint, so went for this. Whilst it was ethnic, it was still a little touristy. However, for Chisinau, I was prepared to make some sacrifices. Yes, it was indeed ethnic, but the staff were a little cold. This changed when I asked for vodka... More

Quite good food with a lot of choices of traditional cuisine, live music (their own band), interesting wine list ( including some premium local wines - very good) but expensive and you have to be very careful at the end and you have to read all the details written on the bill.

It is a bit of a tourist trap, but the quality of food was good. We were welcomed with some rather rough red wine on arrival but it improved from there on! Ate at lunch on a Monday and had good service and the food was about the same as all the other places we had eatena lthough the menu... More

Good authentic moldavian restaurant with often live music. We enjoyed here with a Group of friends many moldavian starters followed by a main dish a very tender chicken breast. The desert was alsof very tasteful moldavian classic, Prune with walnut and whipped Cream. The wines we had were of good moldavian quality. All in All a very good night Out... More

Local food served in a touristic and gimmicky setting. Many waiters, little guests. Prices were quite steep for the local price level but the food was tasty. Soups and shaslik were both good.

This used to be one of my favorite restaurants in Chisinau. Been here a few times, so I decided to take some friends that came with me to Moldova for the first time. Needless to say, the service was horrible, had to wait more than one hour for our food, then some of the dishes were so salty that we... More

I really liked the homemade wine served when we first arrived at the restaurant. Just a bit different. La Taifas is located a few minutes' walk from the Unic stop, near the central bus station, on the corner of Pushkin and Bucharest Streets. It is very much a tourist place, though still quite inexpensive for a Western pocketbook. The food... More

Description
La Taifas means Moldovan traditional experience.

Moldovan rustic food, traditional design and good quality service are our greatest prize for you. Grandmother's cheese pie is the dish you will want to eat here along with local meat dishes or vegetarian fresh salads.

If it's summer try out our local fruits drink.
If it's winter you will want to have our hot wine or balm tea to warm you up.

Enjoy your meal!
