Best in Zagreb

In my opinion the best pizza in Zagreb. On many many times I have been here in the past couple of years the quality is always the same which is very important to me. Of course, if you like that kind of thin crust Italian style pizza you will probably like it. For those who prefer thick crust and very heavy pizza this may not be your cup of tea. I love that I never feel overly full after eating this pizza, no heavy feeling in your stomach. The ingredients are better than in other pizzerias, you don't get that cheap supermarket ham and cheese. Anyway strongly recommend, and I believe that many customers, like myself, have become regulars after trying for the first time.

Favorite pizzeria in zagreb

Not big with a small terasse on the west side of the city. Simple but good pizza, wide choice and i had the fishy one with incuns and along a draft craft beer. Both came rather fast and pizza was tasty with thin crust and not too much bread and with just enough on it. Enjoyed it, pizza with beer was about 12 -13 euro.

One of my favorite's pizza iz Zagreb

We usually go to Karijola and we have never been disappointed with pizza. It is always so tasty and served fast. However, the waiters could be a bit more "friendly" and that would add a value to the overall atmospehere, which is very good.

An ugly way to finish what should be a lovely evening

Waited over one hour to get two pizzas. Complained after 50 minutes, the response was borderline rude - "We have too many guests, you'll have to wait." After receiving food, more than an hour after ordering was told by the extremely rude waitress that we didn't deserve it anyway. Used to be a happy customer, they wont see us again.

As in 2022 there are dozens of pizza places which are offering thin crust neapolitan style pizza in Zagreb and kariola is probably the worst. Havent been for years as even then they were past their glory days but after today’s experience in kariola i have to leave a review. Service was mediocre at best. Full tables and only one waitress. Waited forever for an ashtray, check, etc. Only two tapped beers on the menu, ordered lager and they brought me IPA. Didn’t want to complain. “Karijola” pizza was disastrous. Wanted to return but it seemed like the fight would ensue and honestly didn’t even want another pizza. Dough was soggy in the middle although there were basically no sauces. Just unfinished. Prosciutto was cut way too thick, it seemed like i ate crackers or kanapes at the time. On top of everything rucola was by far the worst. Huge leaves which looked out of the place were just put on the top. No termic or any kind of processing really, just a huge chunks of leaves. It really looked like someone dropped a bowl of salad and my pizza caught it. My friend found a male hair in her pizza (i guess, 4-5 cm long) and i found anoher one in mine later. Her mushroom pizza which should have had shitake and porcini mushrooms was full of the cheapest kinds of other mushrooms, everything looked overcramped but tasted better than mine. Went to this place only because i am a regular at the neighbouring “bros” and god tired with them, but should have gone there instead.

Disgusting behaviour by an ignorant rude waitress

Terrible service. The chefs were very friendly but was greated by a very rude waitress and she took one look at my daughter and gave a dirty look and said that they were full for lunch when they were clearly empty tables and not busy. She was unfortunately racist as my daughter wore a hijab. This is the first time we’ve experienced racism in this country and would never recommend this restaurant to anyone who’s of ethnic descent, sorry to say. And i wouldn’t spend my money here anyway because it’s not nice to be treated badly and discriminated because of our skin colour

Good thin crust pizza, terrible service

It is hard to find rude, self-absorbed, condescending service in Croatia where people are generally very friendly and welcoming to foreigners. Come to this place and you will consider Parisian waiters to be the epitome of friendly service. It is as if the owners and wait staff are annoyed by their own success and seem to think passing underhanded insults to guests would make them seem wittier and worldly. Pizza is generally good with decent prices. So if you dine here, bring a lot of attitude and snap right back. A healthy dose of humility may serve this place well.

Wonderful food and service!

Very enjoyable experience, the staff was wonderful and the food was excellent. The pizzas were perfectly made and the ingridients tasted fresh. This is without a doubt the best pizza I have had in Zagreb yet, and the price was very fair at ~12£ for a pizza. If you are in Zagreb and in the mood for a pizza this is the right place.

Best pizza in Zagreb. I ate at 3 pizzerias and i only went back to Karijola, i even tried a third time but the place was packed. Thin crusted Italian style pizza that was so delicious. Good job guys

Unique pizza

Very nice place and atmosphere with great stuff. Very thin crust, good stuffing - specific pizza. I never tried anything like that in Croatia, it is good but not great. I can definitely recommend to come and try, I will come again.

Cold beer time…

On a very hot evening sitting outside watching the world go by with a cold beer and a hot pizza, well worth a visit if you’re in this part of Zagreb.

It was s take out and we are sorry to say that the pizzas were not so good as it used to be (dry and salty) and too expensive for its value/taste.

Not the best pizza anymore

We have been quite regular in Karijola, in Badaliceva street, at least twice monthly, up until today….you have changed something in you dough and ingredients, but it’s not the same quality as it used to be, the waitress is now a pizza master, other pizza master is eating the ingredients he took to many, the pizza was just plain, tasteless, nothing special…and we should know the difference, we have been coming here for a decade at least….not the best pizza anymore, sad to say…
