Ate really good croatian food. The service was awesome. Loved the suggestions and the cheese platter that was served at the start.

Fantastic, traditional restaurant. Brilliant service, couldn't fault it. Order the stuffed peppers after a recommendation our waiter Miro- absolutely incredible. Will recommend to friends and family and definitely return when in Zagreb next.

In the center of Zagreb, this restaurant offers a traditional Croatian regional menu. Reservations are not necessary but helpful. English menu is available. Try the breads and the pastries which are homemade.

Honestly, Stari Fijaker was not the fanciest restaurant I've been to, but it does have that atmosphere I could not find in North American restaurants for 25 years. For full disclosure - I am likely biased because I used to come here over 25 years ago as a university student - memories of hearty traditional Croatian food brought me this... More

Starter was the most expensive item we ordered and it was very average. Sliced spicy sausage with a bit of plastic from the wrapper it presumably came in. Main was very nice, I had a venison stew and it was amazing, if my starter had been as good this would be a far more enthusiastic review. Overall an okay place... More

They were happy to accommodate my aunt who is a vegan. All the food was just like my Baka made when I was younger and brought back so many memories. Cherry strudel for... More

Very lovely restaurant in the city center - serving typical Croatian meals. Very good quality and service. I like the atmosphere and the deco!

Just five minutes from Jelačića Square you will find this restaurant packed with predominantly senior locals, which is a sure sign that food is good. Just ask the waiters what is a menu of the day an go for it - from clear veal soup, trough some cooked meat, or a steak in prosciutto asparagus sauce, to the desert. Don't... More

Excellent vegetable stew with home made sausages, home made bread, friendly and professional service and a fair price. Absolutely to be recommended!
