Centrally located right by the famous Dolac market, this unassuming little diner blew us away. Cevapi, while not necessarily invented in Croatia, is considered an iconic food there, and we were so excited to find this place!! The cevapcici doesn’t look fancy on the plate...- a flat bread, cut open, stuffed with little skin-less sausages with a huge heaping of chopped raw onion on the side - but oh my goodness… so juicy, tender, delicious flavours! And it was a huge serving too (10 pieces of cevapi - they had a smaller (half) serve available and I think that probably would’ve been plenty for me). We ordered a side of fries which were more like potato wedges or roasted potatoes - but super crispy and yummy, and came with a delicious dipping sauce which I enjoyed dipping my cevapi in as well. My partner also had a burger which he said wasn’t anything to write home about, so skip that and stick with the tried and true classic. This was my favourite meal in Zagreb! The only downside was that the service was a little slow (I think we came at the end of the lunch rush). But they did warn us before seating us, and it was worth the wait in any case.More
