There is something about just wandering around a city and stumbling upon a great fine dining 'Michelin star' restaurant. Apetit is just a fantastic fine dining experience, from the modern styling to outstanding service and delicious food. Great value for an upscale restaurant in Zagreb....We so enjoyed our time at this restaurant. It was perfect for a long lazy lunch (yes another one) and experience the unique cuisine and amazing wine list. A great champagne selection and local wines.More

Beautiful restaurant with great placing considering it is in the city centre. Nicely arranged, private and very romantic. Good wine, great food! We tried quite a few dishes and everything was fabulous. Staff could be a little more enthusiastic, attentive and warm, but ok, I...haven't allow it to effect the experience for the first time there. I will be definitely returning there!More

Every time when I visit the food is outstanding, so was this time as well. I ordered my favourites beef tartar and veal liver Venetian style. No dessert this time because the portions are quite big and it was dinner. I paired it with nice...red wine, don't know which one because I was not ordering it. The restaurant was busy, as it usually is. The staff is always very helpful but with busy restaurant sometime the service is bit too slow. In any case, one of my favourites in ZagrebMore

Apetit is a pleasant surprise tucked away in a Zagreb alley. This is a lovely restaurant with a large selection of Croatian wines and meals. This is not a traditional Croatian restaurant although truffle dishes feature. I highly recommend this restaurant for quality dishes and...nice ambience.More

Always enjoy visiting Apetit. Excellent Live music on Saturdays. Menu with variety of choices, taisty food and nice wine list. Desserts are excellent.

This restaurant has a reputation for fine dining but the experience is anything but fine. The service is slow and careless. Had to ask twice for drinks and had to wave someone down to take our order. The restaurant wasn't busy so there was no...excuse. When the food arrived, I took a bit of octopus and I bit down on a rock and almost broke my tooth. The stone was a fair size, I was shocked that a restaurant of that image could send out food with a stone in it. When I complained, the lady said it was probably in the tentacles of the octopus?!?! What a bad excuse and bad customer service. First of all, the stone was so big that it was no way it could be in the tentacles. The real truth is that they did not wash or prep the octopus properly. I used to love it there but now I told all of my friends and business partners of my bad experience and I can say that this is now my least favorite restaurant in the city. Careless cleaning or preparation of food can lead to a disaster.More

So far, one of the best restaurants in Zagreb. It offers interesting combinations both for tasting and just admiring it's looks. Restaurant is listed in Michelin star guide and prices are related to that but definitely worth visiting.

We mostly enjoyed a wonderful (although quite lengthy due to very nice but slow service) lunch including tuna tartar (similar to a poke style), foie gras 3 ways, fantastic wine (by the glass) and other delicacies. Nice ambiance for couples and business colleagues. Only major...problem is from the amount of cigarette smoke coming from their basement smoking area up directly into my nose and ruining an otherwise perfect culinary adventure. You really need to eliminate this from the building in 2019:) Also, coats and bags are stored down there and pick up this stench. Too bad. We’d love to return.More

Yesterday, 19th November, my gf and myself decided to have a late lunch at Apetit City Restaurant. Although I called in earlier to make an reservation for a table, nobody knew about it when we came in and we were told to sit anyhere we...like (which is not too bad but there were no tables for two so we kind of stood on our feet awkwardly looking around and waiting for help until we were seated). Waiter that was serving us had the attitude of looking down on us like we weren't worthy of the place we were having dinner at. Maybe because we're younger couple, nevertheless the fact that we were dressed and behived accordingly to the place. The bigest thing about his behaviour that got on our mind in his so-called-service was when I asked for a wine card which he refused to give us claiming there wasn't wine by the glass on the card (which is by the way illegal in Croatia. If you sell something you have to have it in written on a menu with price being marked in at least HRK if not in euros too.) and he knows them by heart. Food was not to bad, my gf had monkfish wok and was very happy with it as she always is in the Apetit, and I had Beef cheeks which were not too bad themselves but all the "sides" that were on the plate with the meat were much under the quality standard that's set by the prices they have. Restaurant itself isn't bad nor is the food that they serve. I can not comment on the wine cause we were offered the cheapest and drank it cause we didn't have the energy nor the will to argue with waiter just to find out what of wines do they serve. Alltogether we had such a poor expirience there, and having in mind that we spent almost 500HRK for two people we expected more of a service. There's actually one more thing I want to comment about how the waiter gave me back the change in smallest coins, I guess hoping, I would leave them as a tip, which I did. Only thing that was suited for the prices they have is the fact that someone was nice enough to take our jackets off. More
