This little restaurant is next to the bottom of the Funicular. It has a stylish modern and quiet interior with spotless toilets. Our server David was very sweet and made us welcome. It has a simple but varied menu with very reasonable prices. I chose...the arrabbiata pasta with pork tenderloin and my companions the chicken salad and burger respectively. All were very good. The chicken was great and much better than the chlorinated chicken we are used to in the US. I was asked if I wanted less spicy or “normal” spicy. I like very spicy and asked for the normal, but although it was tasty there was no spice at all to my spice loving palate and the pasta was slightly overcooked. Hence 4* instead of 5*. Highly recommended.More

We had a delicious meal here a few days ago, it’s next to the lower station of the funicular. Homemade food, perfect service and affordable prices. Very cozy and warm atmosphere and a menu full of local dishes. Coming back soon!

Food is too good to be true, staff is kind and always in a good mood. They have everyday specials for a very fair prices. Definitely coming again! Don't miss it if you are near Jelačić square - it's couisine like my grandmother's.

We stumbled across this gem as we ran down from the funicular to escape a thunderstorm and downpour. The waiter was charming, efficient &made excellent recommendations. The food was simple but very well cooked & presented and very tasty. My husband had veal, I had...sea bream & we both had delicious pancakes in a light as air foam. My house white wine was excellent as was my husbands local beer. For two main courses, two delicious deserts, 2 beers & 2 glasses of wine we paid £ 32.47 !!!!! Highly recommendedMore

We stopped at this restaurant after taking a ride on the Funicular. Initially there was some hesitance around vegetarian options, but we were welcomed in and seated inside (which was fortunate as it was raining). Fortunately a vegetable risotto was available for the one member...of our party who is a vegetarian, the rest of us tucked into traditional fare including the daily special of stuffed paprika with mashed potato (delicious). The waitron was very friendly and helped guide our meal choices. We'd definitely recommend a visit.More

I used to eat here as a student. In the meantime place changed and got renovated. They managed to do it very nice. Menu is now different a bit. Concept is to make traditional croatian cuisine with fresh and local products. They offer each day...a choice between 3-4 dishes. Portions are big and prices moderate/affordable. As they are located near the famous funicular it is one more reason to visit this lovely little place.More

We went for lunch and had the specials. The food was good, but it was nor fancy. It was more like home cooking. The portions substantial. The service was also good. It was a bargain. Would definitely go back.

Stopped in for lunch before riding the funicular to the upper town. Went with two plates of the day which arrived very quickly! Value at this restaurant was excellent as portions are large. The food itself is a solid 4 stars.

We found the restaurant by chance and experienced none of the difficulties other contributors described. The meals were substantial and value for money if not earth shattering. The waiter was attentive. However what was really a winner was that the place was non smoking.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Located in the touristic center of Zagreb and having good reviews, this restaurant looked perfect at first sight. Nevertheless, what a surprise we had on the bill (or should I say the screen as we had to pay directly at the counter with everything written in Croatian). The bread and butter we thought were brought as a waiting apology (as they took quite long to bring our dishes) and the water carafe found their way into the bill ! Actually, we had to ask several times before the waitress brought us that water... I’m not one to write bad reviews, but this time I have to warn you, don’t go there!More
