About
Le Bistro has a strong heritage and history as the city's culinary innovator. Opened in 1986, as a small French type of restaurant, Le Bistro immediately took an important place in the everyday life of the capital. It was the first restaurant with the glass roof. Le Bistro hostesses were the first in town to wear silk uniforms. Also, Le Bistro was the first place where wine and champagne were served per glass. It is interesting that Le Bistro first served little chocolate with the coffee, and in 1989 Le Bistro was the first place in Croatia to serve the famous Italian dessert tiramisu and celebrate Valentine's Day. Today, this charming renovated restaurant is home to the legendary 'Esplanade

This is our third time we were on dinner in Le Bistro and we really enjoyed. Food is delicious and service is on high level. We loved our delightful waiter Tomislav. He was very friendly, welcoming, pleasant and very knowledgrable about food and wines.

It's always a pleasure to dine at LeBistro, unpretentious, well prepared, homemade style cooking. I never ate a bad dish at LeBistro. While you get a full on fine dining at Zinfandel's next door, at LeBistro you can count on very relaxed lunch or dinner...More

Since we stayed in Esplanade Zagreb we went for bouth of their restaurants, in this case also great food to be honest more bistrot stuff but still very tasty but they could do some more investment in decor.

Our waitress was friendly and fun. The restaurant is lovely and definitely a little more upscale but not stuffy. Our entrees looked very special and were quite delicious but portions of steak and chicken both were small. Side salad was very fresh! Convenient and a...More

For only 160kn, which is very good price for this caliber of restaurant, you get daily menu consisting of glass of wine, 2 course meal, dessert and coffee or tea. Considering that just dessert, coffee and glass of wine would otherwise cost you around 100kn, price...More

Cute little restaurant with great food and pleasant staff. We had štrukle, a Croatian traditional dish, something everyone visiting this part of Croatia should taste. Our waitress Tea was very professional and pleasant and made our day.

Wow. The food here is top-tier. Everything, from the bread basket and the cottage cheese to the mushroom ravioli, was incredible. We also ordered the traditional grilled cheese plate (forgot its name) and it was really good. I highly recommend this restaurant. If I ever...More
