First, parking can get extremely crowded and you may not be lucky enough to find a spot if coming during weekend lunch hours. There was no menus, just a "verbal version" by the waiter. The food was good & the portions a good size,. Drinks...and desserts are fairly priced, but the main dishes are overpriced. Seasoning was overall very good. If you like traditional cooking, it's worth a stop, but keep in mind you can eat better for less.More

My friends who just moved back from Canada asked me for a restaurant recommendation and I suggested Tac since they have excellent food for reasonable prices, at least my experience. My friends visited and the waiter presented them with a menu without prices, which is...illegal in Croatia. They accepted it since they trusted my recommendation and the waiter told them he would recommend a bottle of red wine. At the end of the night they asked for the bill and the owner Ms. VESNA told them that she could not issue a bill since it was late, also ILLEGAL in Croatia. When they asked how much, she said 1100 kuna. My friends paid and left shocked. My advice to foreigners in particular and anyone is do NOT visit this place. I am a global executive who has dine business in over 120 countries and have been burned like this in my travels but not in an EU country like Croatia. There are plenty og great restaurants run by HONEST people in Zagreb, this is not the case with the owner VESNA, sadlyMore

Once upon a time it was very good restaurant . In main hall one chair was occupied by a dog who now and then put his head on the guest table !?!?! I have never experienced that restaurant allows pets ( dogs ) in the...eating premises !?!?! No menu , no wine list , everything by service recommendation ( who cares about pricing ?!?! ) Food was average and overpriced . They are forcing their wine choice and generally wine is much too expensive and choice is modest. Sorry, but I will try again next year . There are much better places downtown with corresponding pricing .More

When we got there we asked our waiter to give us a menu. He refused saying he is our menu guide for the day. We ordered three portions of rabbit with pljukanci and two becki odrezak (Wiener schnitzel). We were not sure if they served...us a rabbit or tuna, the taste was excatly the same. The wiener schnitzel was over fried and tastless. The plates were not pristine clean (see photo), the waiter was very cocky with his remarks. When we gave us the bill, they charged 140 kunas for boškarin even though we ate rabbit; apparently the price is the same and they don't have the rabbit on the menu. Needless to say, this price did not match any of the prices on the menu found online. All in all, terrible experience. The worst restaurant recommended by Michelin I have been at. Will never go back.More

This was the worst restaurant experience in probably the last 5 years. That this restaurant is anywhere close to a Guide Michelin and Gault Millau recommendation is a complete disgrace. But let's go layer by layer into this pathetic evening. POOR FOOD 1. The beef...soup tasted like someone had thrown a packaged soup cube from the supermarket into hot water and added some noodles. 2. For the main course my wife had chicken with pasta. The chicken was nothing special, whereas the noodles were overcooked, probably lying around for hours and entirely tasteless. See the picture. Every corporate cantina gets this better. 3. I had a steak, the meat was OK (no complaints), yet the mushrooms on the side (see picture in front of the empty wine) were disgusting and not edible. 4. Our son had pljukanci with mushrooms which where lack of cooking skill was compensated with over-seasoning. 5. We saw that a lot of guests did not finish their meal, which is quite uncommon given a Gault Millau restaurant which is supposed to create delicious meals that anyone would enjoy until the very last piece. PATHETIC SERVICE 1. The concept is announcing the dishes of the day at the table. Fair enough, still we felt rushed as soon as we had sat down to make a hasty choice. Moreover, our waiter with big bravado tried to sell us the yummy veal on potatoes and the yummy chicken on potatoes as the speciality of the night when the other waiter had to jump in to to correct him that the veal was out and there was only once portion of the chicken left (see above). For the record: It was 7 pm in the evening and we had a confirmed reservation. 2. Regarding the set on the table: The salt was entirely empty where we had to ask for a replacement, the vinegar was 7/8 empty. 3. As we politely declined the sparkling wine as aperitif from the waiter and said we would focus on the regular wine, our waiter didn't even bother to offer any of it. Instead, we had to ask the other waiter (the one mentioned above) to bring us 0.5 litres of open wine. So the "broad choices of wine" mentioned in the other ratings will forever remain a mystery to us. Once our water bottle was empty, our waiter would take it without even bothering to ask if we wanted another one. Given this low level of attitude, it's unnecessary to mention that nobody would ever refill our empty glasses. DISCRIMINATORY SERVICE 1. Depending on the grace of the moment, the waiter would treat different guests differently. A French group on the table to my left was offered starters of ham and cheese, whereas for us he just had soup to start with in store. 2. To add insult to injury, but in the broader scheme of things irrelevant, the waiter would offer other guests behind us at the end of the dish the customary free digestif. None for us. Summary: This restaurant has to be avoided at all costs.More

Too many smokers which makes it very unpleasant to enjoy your meal in this day and age. The meat was completely raw (not rare…raw) and then when returned over cooked although the waiter did try to make it right. Unopened red wine bottle was refrigerated...(?) Grilled vegetables had grill marks but were not cooked. Menu board is not the easiest thing to navigate (2 locals in our party found it off putting as well) Won’t return. Maybe the cook was having an off day?More

We were attracted by the Bib Gourmand designation. New to Zagreb we were looking for new favorites. Our waiter was fun, knowledgeable, and worked to get our wine choices just right. the squid was very nice but my veal sauce was salty. No menu therefore...no prices so you take a chance by reading a chalk board and are put in a position where you have to ask and feel uncomfortable for doing so. A table service charge was applied. There is parking available for about 7 modern cars at the top of the hill.More

Excellent ambient, great lamb and kind waiters. Desert was full of fresh strawberries. Soup was a little bit too spicy but overral, one of the coolest places to hang out with family.

Guests at the table next to us kept listening to loud music on their cellphones and the staff did nothing to warn them to quiet it down. After we kindly asked the service/waiter to intervene, although they did oblige, they took no further actions after...we were been told to "f*ck ourselves"More

Above city center and without rush hour we came to Tac restaurant. Space is filled with tasty details and rewards and crew was very professional, educated and friendly. We tasted different variety of unique tastes of brandies. Soup was very good as well, but, I...must emphasize baby goat that we ordered for the main dish. Presentation was great, meat was phenomenal and the texture melted in the mouth. Top recommendation!More
