Was here today with my family. Oh boy, were we disappointed with Frankos, in almost every way possible. In short, because I really don’t want to spend any more words and thoughts on this place, we waited 30 minutes for pizzas. Water is only served bottled. Sofa I sat on was really weird, badly placed, we had to move the table ourselves because otherwise you could not eat normally. Pizzas were good, and the are the only reason that I will not give this restaurant lower score. But, they are too thin, to the point where they basically fall apart when you cut them. Also, they were a bit watery.. Oh yeah, also, half od my Girlfriend’s pizza was burnt.. So, definately not worth it, there are better pizzas iz Zagreb, ones where you don’t have to wait for 30 minutes for your pizzas to arrive, ones that don’t charge this much for burnt pizza. I would sincerly advise people to not go to this place.

Definitely one of the best pizzas I had (Creamy Baranja) in my life. Currently rated as 45th best pizzeria in Europe (excluding Italy). Prices for romana and napoletana pizzas are mostly between 80kn-120kn. Quite expensive for a pizza in Zagreb, but it is definitely worth a visit if you love pizzas. Drink selection is great (beer, wine & spirits) - you'll definitely find a great drink to go with the pizza. The interior looks great, but there's a few dings that should get addressed so it keeps looking great.

My god, what is this, Pizza Capricciosa for 82kn, this is not expensive this is criminal price for Pizza. And also to to mention it was regular size pizza not the big one. The quality of the pizza was good, but just good nothing else.

The waiter was very unpleasant and careless, we had to order the same thing more times in a row since he didn't remeber what we've ordered at the beginning and in the end, the waiting time was far too long. We waited 4 pizzas and a salad for an hour. I would've understood if the restaurant was full but there wasn't more than 10 guests in total. Meals we've ordered tasted nice, but considering the high prices, they should've tasted better.

Once again we deside to eat out late time thought that wasn't our fault since spending the day in Plidvice park took longer than we thought whole day actually. So we find this online with good reviews ,not that far walking distance from our aptm. and most importantly its had veggie options for our friend and it was closing at 12 !sounded ideal .When we arrived at 10:20 they said we had like 20 min to order.Ooook. Place was nice yet small,it was the first time a sat on a couch at a restaurant and my feed couldn't touch the floor and am 1.8 (cm Americans,cm not inches😀) but dont get me wrong i just i found it funny. The waiter clarified that his English were not that good since he is Criatian which was not the problem.Something else was, there wasnt much variery on the menu and basically from what there was only the pizzas were available and somethibg on kids menu cause of the late time we mentioned . So we ordered ,and once again in Croatia a waiter wasn't writting down the order. We asked for wine which he forgot and had to ask again We asked for an extra plate and ketchup ,they never came and the waiter was nowhere to be found after he brought the food.My pizza wasnt exactly what i ordered .I asked for the old school pizza which he explained was different, thicker, basically Not italian type but all pizzas where the same so i asked him is this traditional?(Always on my best way,not being sarcastic and all)and he said yes.. Another mistake?Wasnt charge for the Italian style thought which was btw 7 more euros for some reason .The food was good, the prices ok for it is a restaurant althought pizza in Croatia seems to be very cheap in general and you can find it everywhere, there is a bakery in every corner selling big pieces for €2!!..The one we had was better quality of course thought not my style,i want cheeeese,i love the American type.So a pizza around 30cm is about €16-17 unless tou order old school which is around €10. Am glad we didn't tip the waiter who like i said had disappeared cause when we left we passed right next ro gim saying goodnight and he didn't even bother to look at us or talk to us.Thats what we get for not tipping i guess 😀. Unprofessional man, that is unprofessional.

Overall experience when it comes to food and quality of pizza was very good. The menu has a wide variety. For Zagreb it is quite costly but internal standard normal prices. Inside is nicely decorated. Unfortunately staff was not so pleasant, at the moment they realized we do not speak Croatian they gave us the feeling of just processing order get food pay.

A lot of money a little music! A good old folk phrase to prevent excessive philosophy, in this case I would touch the pizza, more precisely the napoletana, but let's go! Ambience: (heated terrace) Sterile, claustrophobic, 😁, music too loud, tables too high in relation to sitting position at least in terms of functionality for consuming food. On one small (personal) request, the staff came out to meet us, and for that in this case, 5+ to them. Now... pizza! The dough is correct, although it can always be better as we expected from Franko's, but maybe it was just a "bad day", very unimaginative combinations of the pizzas themselves, the quality of the ingredients is mediocre and the quantity is very stingy, except of course €€€ (prices) and mozzarella that someone shoveled onto the dough, undercooked by the way, I almost committed suicide by choking on it. Definitely in my opinion the mediocre Napoletana I ate in Zagreb, it is far from the top 10. PLEASE NOTE !!!, that is my subjective opinion! The staff... friendly and always "there somewhere" when needed and yet unobtrusive! Thanks for reading!

Unfortunately, the experience was a little bit disappointing. Pizzas were okay, you can taste that the ingredients have good quality, but I cannot say anything more than this. I tried many better pizzas in Croatia, so I wouldn't say that the price follows the pizza experience. There is an interesting list of different pizzas tho, if you want to try something you cannot taste at other places. The dough is really nice and tasty comparing to the rest. The service was really slow, even tho there weren't too many guests. The ambient is nice and quite fancy, but the tables and shairs are near each other, it's visible that they wanted to put as many seats as possible. I would feel uncomfortable if someone seats so close to me at the nearest table.

Despite having a reservation they sat us on the terrace, which is separated from the street by a curtain. The terrace is heated at first glance, but after 10 minutes it is cold. We eat classic pizza and the passione rustica. Classic pizza was filled with mushrooms and quite oridinary, but rustica was very tasty. So the overall experience is average, we've had slightly better pizza, but nothing that special.

It's not the best pizza in Zagreb. It's close to napolitana but it is just not that. It's too soft in the middle and too compact and the edge. Maybe I'm to critical but in Croatia we still don't know how to make proper italian pizza. I was expecting too much after reading all the comments and arricles about top 50 pizza in europe, so it didn't meet my excpetations. Toppings are great but what makes good pizza is dough and you should be able to eat whole pizza without feeling stomachache. Im sorrry but this pizza didn't blowed my mind..

Such a cute venue with very good pizza and cocktails! As an Italian I always like to try Pizza from other countries because it’s nice to see how different it can be and I can honestly say that this was probably the best I’ve ever had outside of my country. Nice staff as well who made us feel welcomed even though we didn’t know the local language (sorry about that!). Honestly loved the cocktail I got which was Italian Mule I recommend it to anyone’s feeling like going to this very nice place. 😌

The overall experience in terms of food and pizza quality was very good. The menu is varied. It is quite expensive for Zagreb, but the taste of the pizza justifies the price. The interior is nicely decorated and the staff was very polite.

We were the biggest fans of this place before. Really good pizza, service and ambient. A bit pricey but worth it. Well, the last time we came, they had a new pizzaiolo, which so obviously did not know what he was doing (we were watching him the whole time and he was ruining a pizza after pizza, having trouble taking them out and repositioning them in the oven). The pizza we've gotten was burnt on the outside, and underbaked in the middle. For their price range this is completely unacceptable. Please get your act together and find a new, better capable pizzaiolo. It would be a shame to ruin such a good concept.

Toppings, dough and crust were all great! Goes into my top 5 pizza places in Croatia. Staff was kind and we managed by sheer luck to get a table, make reservation would be my advice though. The only and biggest flaw was waiting...and waiting. The waiter explained to us later that they had problem with the oven and apologised to us, but still at one point it got too much.

Franko's Pizza has truly left an impression (especially if you're a fan of Napolitan-style pizza). As a genuine pizza enthusiast, I can honestly say that this place has redefined my pizza standards. You can tell that there's careful consideration behind every ingredient. For anyone who appreciates a good pizza, Franko's Pizza deserves a visit!
