At Barcode Mitra we make burgers for everyone, they just happen to be the best vegan burgers in Zagreb. It doesn't matter if you eat meat or not, we promise you'll enjoy any one of our four, delicious burgers. We make each of them fresh from locally grown, organic produce and the result is a juicy, colorful, and aromatic burger. We also make our own Raw Smooth Superfood Smoothies, a special blend of fresh, cold-pressed juices that are blended together with over 30 other healthy, natural ingredients. Each bottle will give you the energy kick you need to conquer the day! And we've got the sweet-tooths covered, too. We sell organic, home-made brownies and desserts, made from natural, ingredients.

I heard about this place and finally in 2nd or 3rd attempt had a chance to try their vegan burger. It took so long because usually the que is pretty long and it's hard to get the chance to order on site. Maybe a better solution would be to order take out and having them bring the food to you.
But, I wanted to try the burger hot and just made since a lot of veggie/vegan burgers lose their taste after being a bit colder. I tried the GREEN burger which is more or less made out of cauliflower, lentils, been, spinach, onions and some Mediterranean spices. I took the small one, since the big one doesn't look all that bigger and it's 40% more expensive.
All and all...a GOOD burger. Nice flavors, topping isn't all that dominant and i really enjoyed it. The only negative side was the place it self. There isn't a lot of room to sit comfortably and eat your food in peace and quite. I ended up eating it in a nearby park. :) But i'll overlook this fact since it's a fast food and they have takeout. :)
Also, some side dish would be nice....baked eggplant, zucchini, potatoes...anything.

My wife tried the "green burger", I the "yellow" one. Both were great, but "yellow" for me was perfect. Even non-vegetarians should try it, because explosion of good taste lake this is rarely felt. With burgers, we drank craft beers according to the recommendations of the beer master, who determined which type of craft beer fits best with which burger. It was perfect.
Desserts were also offered, but we were full and just couldn't taste any more.
The place has the status of fast food, and its very small place. Unfortunately too small (it was saturday afternoon) for the number of people who want to try their burgers, or have tried it and come back to eat again. There is only one place to sit, and it is a shame that they do not have more space, for maybe more tables.
And I'll come back again at the first opportunity. Well done Barcode Mitra.

The place was recommended to me from various sides so I knew that the food is good but the lunch we had there today was accompanied with "mmmm, ooh, the bun, so good, mmm, juicy..." We had the green and the brown burger. Than the beer and cake. Even though we came just for the burgers. But I couldn't say no to a cake when burgers were so jummy. The cake might be the same. And it was oh, so delicious. So, if you're in Zagreb, vegan (or want to try vegan burgers), this is the place you want to eat in. Or take the food out. Or order online.

Really interesting place.
You actually can only order takeaway, there is no option to dine-in. Luckily the owner was cool and charismatic guy and let us eat on the doorstep 😀.
Burgers were tasty and vegan. I liked that they have their own unique conception and they dont try to be another vegan burger place. By the way buns were different and really good too.

Delicious veggie burgers, best I've ever tried, friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere, fast service. Love the idea for the burger names inspired by Croatian fairy tales. I tried small-sized burger and it was more than enough for one to eat and feel full. Plus all the healthy ingredients make me love them even more :) Big reccomendation! If you don't think that a veggie burger can satisfy your hunger and your flavour buds, try one of these and prove yourself wrong!

I think these are the best vegan burgers I've had, and possibly even the best burgers ever, with meat or without. We tried the brown and red, both so good and I liked the red one the best--a little spicy, with lots of interesting flavors going on. My boyfriend liked the brown the best, which was mushrooms and a little more classically burger tasting. Perfect texture, soft and juicy but not too much, and perfect amount of sauce and other toppings. Cold complementary charcoal water, nice on a hot day. Service was very friendly. They seem to cook them up fresh so you'll wait about 20 minutes, but grab a drink and it's no problem.

I went here with my wife and oldest son. He had never eaten a vegan burger before (a big meat lover) so I was hoping this would be a good introduction to vegan food and IT WAS! Fantastic burgers, everyone was really happy and even though it´s been a month since I was there I still think about this place! Highly recommend, don´t miss it while in Zagreb.

We were helped by very friendly staff who explained the options on the menu to us in English. We tried the yellow, green and red burgers, each one was amazing. Very fresh ingredients, lovely sauce, good bread and the different vegan burger patties were super delicious! It’s a little bit outside of the center, but so worth going to (and not expensive with an Uber).

Lunch today at Barcode Mitra was perfect. Such friendly service and health giving burgers. You can't ask for anything better.
My only regret, you need to get there early in buy his raw food juices. Burgers are colour coded for goodness.
He did make me a mixed citrus juice with ginger to bring out the extra zing!
It's a tiny shop, with small street frontage but the food is BIG on flavour and goodness. After eating there, I found my mood and spirits were lifted.
A great little place with wonderful burgers and juices. Thankyou.

This is without exaggerating the best food I had in Zagreb. I’m not a vegetarian but the burgers were delicious. I’ve tasted the green, red and yellow, yellow being my favourite. Great crew as well!

This is new vegetarian burger place in Zagreb and in my opinion best vegetarian burger in Zagreb.It is mainly takeaway but you can stay there and eat at the bar or few tables.
Owner makes burgers himself and if you want to eat veggie burger go and check Mitra. Decoration is simple and place is small but service is great and burgers are good.
