Had the opportunity to visit this place twice in the last week. I must admit I was very surprised by the space, which is indeed very nice, and the first time I went there, right after arriving by bus to Zagreb, it was probably not...even 7:30 am, I was very pleased with my meal and the service, the waiter was super nice. However, on the second time (brunch) the meal was poor, it was as if it had been done on a rush and the service was also very poor. There was obviously more people on the second time there, but that should not be an excuse for the poor meal. Nevertheless, I would recommend this place in the hope that it will improve its midday service. I should also mention that it's a bit expensive.More

I have visited Bonk with a group of friends. All the food we got was looking so good, but the taste was unbelievably bad. Even though there was (what seemed to be) bacon in our burgers, flavour and salt was missing. If someone would have...told me this before, I wouldn't have believed it. Even though few of us ordered the same burger, each got their differently done. And waitress didn't ask anyone how we want it done. So one person got it well done, I got it rare, third got it medium rare, and so on.. On the other side, one friend got a different burger that was too salty. Noone was satisfied with their food. In conclusion - probably the worst burger I have ever had.More

Arrived in Zagreb with my husband with the train very early in tge morning and were welcomed by heavy rain. It was basically still dark outside and a bit foggy. We just knew that we wanted to have a proper breakfast and searched online for...some reccommendations, had no idea where to go. Then we saw Bonk and deicided to go there. It was still early morning but nonetheless we were greeted with smiles from friendly staff and immediately made impression that they will gladly serve us. We were not wrong, the waiter who served us was friendly and a bit chatty. :) The food was excellent, we both had eggs so next time we must try pancakes. It was really delicious and just enough in size. I also had white coffe and it was great! There was also that feeling of pleasure as heavy rain was pouring outside and we were on a warm place eating delicious food and also on our vacation...perfect moment! We will definitely visit Bonk when we go in Zagreb again.More

Unfortunately, we tried Bonk on our last day in Zagreb. Loved the interior! Quality of the food was excellent. I agree with Some of the comments about the unfriendly staff. Although our experience with people in Zagreb was more than positive, at Bonk the staff...come across quite arrogant. Nonetheless, the priority is food and that was really good!More

I love this place because it's probably the only bar in the entire town where smoking is not allowed. Just for that, they get 5 stars from me. Keep up the good work! p.s. pancakes are awesome. small tip: let them cool for a bit,...it tempers the sogginess they have when hot.More

Delicious breakfast, very polite staff, cozy and cute place for couples and families. I had english breakfast, and my girlfriend had pancakes, it was really delicious

We sat in the sunshine on a Saturday morning while the flea market was open and ordered brunch. The menu is perfect for this with a choice of pancakes, cooked breakfasts, omelettes, club sandwiches and empanadas. A relaxed atmosphere, fantastic value for money, cappuccino art...that lasted till the end of the cup and a lovely waiter who could laugh at himself and made the visit even more enjoyable!More

They need to pay professional waiters, not students which are not able to do this job. We were waiting to order 15 min then more 15 to be served with the really not good cocktail. So, forgive me, but you didn't pass.More

On Ilica near the centre of town is Bonk. A funky space with lots of varied seating, it serves pancakes, omlettes, burgers, club sandwiches, coffee, pivo and much more. Various members of our group visited several times over the course of 8 days for a...much needed morning feed after a big night. Good friendly service in a relaxed atmosphere. Well worth the visit if you have had enough burek.More

Meat in the burger was over over done and almost inedible although ordered medium and potatoes were swimming in probably 1/2dcl of frying oil. You can get better in McD for less money.More

Great tasty breakfast and polite and very helpful staff, everything was great. Also you don't have to wait very long

We enjoyed our latte and French toast plus ice cream! The waitress was quite friendly and the cafe was unique.
