Simple Green & Bake vegan restaurant and gluten free bakery located in Zagreb. Our ingredients come from Family owned farms so the quality of the food prepared is ensured. If you would like to try something healthy and delicious, come to our restaurant where we have a different fresh meal prepared for you every day of the week. Great little vegan lunch place

Have eaten here lunch a number of times. Mostly good and fresh food - my favorites are the seitan kebab, and from the daily offer- seitan pašticada, and african stew. From time to time they have a miss, but it's mostly a hit.

Very delicious healthy food

I usually order a lunch here when I do not have time for cooking. Everything what I've tried was so delicious! For us vegeterians this is really great place to visit.

Small vegan place in the large facility. Didnt understand the menu but ordered two salads. Wow, the portions were large. Food tasted good.

The worst falafel wrap ever!!!

I don't even know where to begin... I could never imagine one can screw up the falafel wrap so badly. I honestly don't know how. The "falafel" balls were so dry and awful that I almost choked to death. It was like trying to swallow a turd with spices. The dip and the veggies didn't help either. It was so bad that I ended up eating around the falafel balls, then eating around the veggies and dip and eventually the whole thing ended up in trash. And I never ever throw away food. This was simply unbelievably bad. It left me in shock and wondering how a restaurant like this can survive more than 3 days. If you are such a bad cook, then please, please consider changing the profession.

UNWELCOMING SERVICE

Sadly, my recent visits haven't been great. Instead of being greeted warmly, the staff seemed unfriendly. When we entered for lunch today, they rudely told us without even looking at us or saying hello that they had no available seats. The service sector is entirely customer-oriented, and customer satisfaction is essential. However, unfortunately, it's very poor here, and they need to improve. Even if the food is good, their behavior completely affects your enjoyment of the time spent here in a negative way. I hope sharing feedback will help them improve.

This spot is great. Has great location. Great food and grocesseries but SERVICE and the mood and guard of the people working there- especially one guy- has unwelcoming glance and attitude.

Amazing food!

We mostly ordered from Simple Green as they're available on wolt and their Burger salad is a must-try! Although not a vegetarian/vegan, this salad is so amazing and leaves you full for hours! They have a perfect balance of healthy and nutritious food! The place itself is small so it cannot accommodate bigger groups, especially during lunch hours so I'd recommend you book a table in advance!

Best falafel wrap I ever had

Had the falafel wrap and was very pleasantly surprised. The wrap itself was a bit greasy but the texture and flavour of the filling was extremely tasty, and the portion was quite large. Excited to try other things on the menu as well!

Vegan surprise!

Arrived to the place around lunch time and was told that I'd need to wait around 15 minutes to get a free table, which was understandable. When I returned back, the table was ready for me and got served almost in an instant. For lunch I ordered the Spicy Burger and a small salad, but the waiter recommended me to order only the burger, since it is already full of fresh vegetables and should be more than enough for a decent meal, I kindly complied. In the end I was glad I didn't order more, as the burger size ended being the ideal size and not too small like it often happens at most "non-fastfood" burger places. Even though I'm full, I'm already looking ahead to coming back and ordering something new to surprise me again!

Great food, happens to be vegan

Had the seitan kebab and falafel wrap. Both were really good, great sauces, and also got the spring rolls which were more like fried little egg rolls with sweet and sour sauce but a good appetizer. Kind of a walk from downtown Zagreb and a little hard to find at first because the 'simple green' sign is not very visible and I think it goes by another name, but worth it

Fast, delicious, and even healthy!

I am not one to usually write reviews but I was taken aback by how pleasant my dining experience was here. Service was great, atmosphere was relaxing and casual. The woman who was working kindly brought over a menu (they did not have an English menu) and proceeded to explain the dishes to me as I am not fluent in Croatian. I ordered the daily soup, which happened to be a spicy carrot and celery soup. Delicious! For my meal I ordered the kebab in a tortilla, which once again was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend to anyone (vegan, vegetarian, and otherwise) looking for a delicious filling lunch or dinner in the lower town of Zagreb. Worth the short trip from the more touristy areas.

Great Vegan Food

This was first time in my life that I was really satisfied with vegan lunch. So first you need to know that I really love all kind of food including fish, meat and all other “normal” food but not closed for trying something new. Due to the fact that my daughter decided to switch on vegan diet I also decide to check this food. We get daily menu, and hot burgers. Burgers were really tasty with crispy meat replacement bacon flavored, so I was really satisfied with this option. My son is actually meat lover and he was also satisfied. Daughter recommended her dish as best restaurant vegan food do far in Zagreb. Deserts where raw cooked and all excellent (different pies and snickers ball). So if you want to get a chance to vegan food and you are in Zagreb try with this small restaurant. PS. They changed location so check on web and at this moment don’t have fixed line for credit card payment. Additionally, have sitting space for max 8 persons, calling before is highly recommended.

Not so great lunch

We were visiting Simple Green for lunch. We order daily menu without soup. What we got is a plate full of rice with a few cooked vegetables and super small salad portion which is not what we expect for a vegan restaurant. Not sure about the origin, but it tasted as frozen vegetables. My best guess it is not frozen because they advertised using groceries from local producers. Overall review is 4.5, so I hope that was only that time. Still not coming back or be able to recommend at the moment. Maybe ordering is what they focused on.
