In the beginning the service was great. The food and drink was brought out very quickly after ordering. The food looked great, was very fresh and delicious. Shortly after however the service dropped off. Wasn't asked for another drink when they picked up the empty glass. And waited a very long time to pay. The server looked up from his phone made eye contact and then went back to his phone. Had to actually make noise, hand gestures, and stare at the server to put down his phone to be able to pay. Sorry, but the service was lacking. The food, however, was excellent.

Good food and service. Poor choose of music.

Food is great. Personnel is nice and they do remember you and if you have allergies or don’t like certain ingredients in your meals. Atmosphere is also good, especially when they open the big window towards the inner yard. The only thing I can pus as a major drawback is the choice of music. It’s some Greek radio that plays chill out and light electronic music. It’s kind of a clash. If you don’t mind that, the place is fantastic.

Best sushi in town, stylish and nice service

The place is a true gem for sushi-lovers! Rich menu and the prices match the quality. I like the interior design as well, so calming and nice. We were the only ones when we ate there so it felt safe. The gentleman attending to our table was very friendly and the service was perfect. Definitely satisfied our sushi - sake cravings! The sushi sets are especially good if you want a treat for two people.

Being polite not an option

Stay away of this place if you are looking for a good service, I booked a table for the family using an online application and We showed up to the restaurant perfectly on time When entered I asked the kids to be patient and wait for somebody receiving us and indicating a table where to sit, What we get back was a waiter/owner looking at us but behaving like we were not existing, when I finally decided to walk towards him I finally get a cold welcoming and a reply that they didn’t get the notice for reservation . When he finally screwed the tool and found it, the crazy behavior and disappointment by the guy was so irritating that I asked him: ‘ do you want us to eat here or us to go?’ … his reply was : ‘for me you can go ‘ .. and this is what we did. These people need to understand that before the food, that I trust the recensions to be good , there are good manners and they are far from there . Hope this recension will help them growing ,

Terrible staff

with a small workload of the restaurant, we waited a very long time for the waiter. We raised our hands, but no one approached us. We had to get up and look for waiters ourselves. But when we approached and started asking for dishes, the waiter began to answer very rudely. When I asked why he raises his voice at me, because I'm a client, he said that he doesn't care and he will talk as he wants! Plus, in the kitchen, chefs without hats! I came to this restaurant with a good rating, but it is undeserved!

The service became much worse recently

I used to be a regular visitor. I liked the sushi and the menu. Unfortunately, the last several times I visited the service became much worse than it used to be. We used to visit for lunch at about noon. The ratoraunt was empty or with one more table taken. Still we had to wait for the male waiter to take our order for more than 15 minutes. He just disappeared somewhere, and we were waiting hungry and looking for him. If it was a busy time for him, I would understand but it was not. The next visit became worse. Me and my friend were the only customers. A friendly girl from the staff invited us to pick a table and we received the menus. After some time the waiter came as we thought to take our orders, but instead, he informed us that the table was reserved and we had to pick another table "for two persons". The table was not marked as reserved. There was an I dentical table exactly next to us empty and a lot more other free tables in the empty place but the guy decided we had to move at all costs. No apology. He insisted that someone had reserved exactly that table. We left for good. What a pity. It used to be a nice place...

If you are going on a spontaneous trip, it is better not to go on a Friday. Not even in November

Because of the excellent reviews, we stopped by this restaurant early on a Friday evening without a reservation. It was November, so probably not the peak season. The reception was extremely unfriendly. The waiter told us in one or two short sentences that you would never get a table on a Friday without a reservation. Our question as to whether take-out was possible was rejected just as rudely with a 'the kitchen is too busy for that'. There were at least 8 free places, whether it was reserved or not doesn't matter, but if the kitchen is already busy, then good night!

Amazing Sushi and Japanese cuisine restaurant in Sofia

The Sushi Bar is my favorite Sushi and Japanese cuisine restaurant in Sofia. Moreover, it is one of the best restaurants I have visited generally - it is very cozy, the prices are reasonable, the staff is always friendly, the atmosphere is great and of course, the food is absolutely delicious and of high quality! Greatly recommend, not only if you want a good sushi place but also for a lovely night out with friends, family, or as a couple.

Horrible sushi rice

The acidity, moisuture level, temperature of the sushi rice was totally off. Some of the sashimi meat didnt seem fresh. One of the worst sushi i had. They also need to do a better job in the menu (display photoes of each dish)

Great sushi! Yum!

Sushi was really delicious. Prices were reasonable. Waiter was really kind and helping, especially when comparing to the rest of the waiters in Sofia. Interier is really nice and we really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere.

The Sushi gem in Sofia

One of the best sushi we have ever eaten. The place was nicely decorated and the staff quite friendly considering the overall experience we had with staff in Sofia. All the sushi we tried was truly delicious and believe me we ordered a big variety. If I had to pick a favorite, I wouldn’t be able to. Definitely worth a visit, you will not be disappointed.

Slow but worth the wait!

The service was really slow, but was very friendly, the miso soup was delicious, sushi was cheap and so fresh definitely recommended coming here for a lunch if your not in a rush
