An amazing piece of Italy in Sofia – Pizzeria e Stuzzicheria Olio D’Oliva – offers Italian delicacies and specialties, featuring the traditional cuisine, whereas the ingredients give our name, a mantra for us – Italians – who treasure healthy and quality food. Amazing Italian trattoria. I opened the door and I entered into a genuine Italian trattoria- rosticceria. I couldn’t believe that such a place existed in Sofia. The owner was an Italian chef extremely polite and helpful (difficult to find). The pizza amatrichiana was delicious and spicy. The lazzania con carne were a miracle (unfortunately there were no zucchini Lazzania or porcini lazzania left). The niochi were the best I have ever tasted. And definitely five stars are not enough to describe tiramisu. The best I have ever tasted (gourmet Italian restaurants located in Italy are also included). The restaurant is really cheap for the quality it offers. And there is also an open parking just next to the restaurant. Much more than I was expecting.

Amazing pizza

I ordered Regina and it was probably the best pizza i ever had in Sofia, took me back to a holiday on Amalfi coast. My friend ordered lasagna with pumpkin - delicious too. The owner was is very nice and helpful, definitely recommend this place if you like real Naples style pizza and pasta!

We just sent yesterday night to hace dinner. The place is small and minimalistic. The food is super, we ordered pizza and it's like napolitan pizza 😋 The owners are italians. Don't miss the tiramisú, it's outstanding 💚 The price was ok, 2 pizzas, 1 beer, 1L water and tiramisú 44lv. If you plan to go on weekends, just make a booking before otherwise probably you're nit going to have a table!

Finally a restaurant who's reviews are truly genuine. 5 star place. Great warm welcome on arrival, and it felt like I was stepping into a friends living room. Really nice and cosy, they had a few portable heaters going as it was a freezing cold night outside. Great range of classical Italian dishes. Ordered a few beers and a couple of pizzas, short wait later and our pizza arrived. They were beautiful, cooked to perfection, generous portion of fresh toppings on a nicely baked base. Staff are great, and made sure that everyone eating was happy with their food. One of our nicest meals in Sofia and highly recommended.

It is just a marvelous place. It has a 5 ⭐️ stuff, that behave like you are in the best, luxury restaurant in the world. Food is very tasty, wine is specially selected and on top of that they allowed me to sit with my dog - very playful Labrador. Amazing night, amazing restaurant!

Incredible delicious thin pizza. Very high quality of the cheeses on the pizza. I love cheese very much, these were very qualitative and delicious. The restaurant has calm beauty atmosphere. The personal is very quick and polite. First time I tried desert Tiramisu. I loved it . For me is very important that there is no alcohol in it. Chips made by them us also very soecial.

Вината са превъзходни и едно добро допълнение към пиците. Точно пред ресторанта има паркинг. В тиха уличка но в самия център на града. Може да си закупите за домашна консумация вина, зехтин и паста. Wines from the Puglia region are supplied. The wines are excellent and a good addition to the pizzas. There is a parking lot right in front of the restaurant. In a quiet street but in the heart of the city. You can buy wine, olive oil and pasta for home consumption. Prices very good for quality! The staff is very polite and fast. I recommend!

Superb in everything

We called to ask if there was a table available for 9pm the same day and unfortunately everything was full. We still decided to go on site and very kindly after only 10 minutes of waiting they made us sit down. A platter of cold cuts and cheeses, three super stuffed pizzas and a mushroom risotto 15 euros and a little more each! Alex, a great person offered us a bitter and hosted us in his restaurant making us spend a wonderful evening to the sound of laughter and fun. Oh, I forgot, Alex speaks perfect Italian. If you come to Sofia you can't miss this!

What a fantastic evening! We where welcomed by Simone with a smile, and after a while we learned that he was the owner of this great place! We where in a good mood when we came and our host did bring our mood even better! Explaing the menu, telling us a little of the restaurants history with smiling face and eyes! What a service! Then the Pizza`s came, and Italy should be proud that a pizza restaurant in Sofia is serving this quality Italian pizza`s! We ordered 1 pizzaq each, but we could have ordered 3 serving 4 people, it would have been enough! Great taste on the different pizza`s recommended, great pizza bead and wonderful fill on it! A great tasting Italian wine at an affordable price completed the meal! After the dinner we laughed and joked, Simeone offered us a taste on shots "on the house" and we really was feeiing welcome! This is not only our best experience as a pizza restaurant! It was the best restaurant we experienced in Sofia!

What to say…. It is always difficult to find a restaurant outside Italy where you can find courtesy, kindness, professionalism... If you then add the superlative cuisine then the combination reaches perfection. Arriving without having booked and having taken a long walk to get there we found everything sold out but the staff asked us to wait as they would do everything to seat us as soon as possible Not even 15 minutes and we were seated at the table, we ordered a mushroom risotto porcini mushrooms and tagliatelle with Genoese pesto, both superlative dishes. Pizzeria with a very good tradition. It gives you a choice of three doughs, which is unique in this restaurant, very good size, good flavor and very pleasant service. The price is also quite good. I should mention that I went for a pizza a few days later to take away and the average wait time is more or less 1 hour.

Fantastic food and service!

If you’re in the mood for Italian then you must visit this restaurant to get the real deal. We had pizza, pasta and salad and shared everything. They said all the food is homemade and they brought us some homemade bread and hummus courtesy of the chef as a starter. The service was very attentive and food came up fast. They are known for their pizza so order at least one. The pasta was cooked perfectly and excellent. Don’t miss if you are craving Italian!

Finally a fascinating place for wine and pizza. We enjoyed a beautiful bottle of Amarone and tried the three crusts the place has to offer. Our server Alex was very knowledgeable in all areas and the service is the best we have ever experienced in Bulgaria in more than a year. When you visit I recommend to be adventurous and try the green crust and top Alex at least 20%. You won’t regret it 😊

Italian excellence in Sofia

The directions on Trip Advisor never disappoint. Well-reviewed place and appreciated by customers. Not only a pizzeria (excellent) but also an offer of first courses. At the end of the meal, definitely try the tiramisu served in the mocha! Booking via their website is recommended (don't trust the booking system proposed by Google). Not a very large room, well furnished and welcoming. Friendly and knowledgeable staff (we also met the owner who told us his entrepreneurial story which led him to open other restaurants in Prague, Thessaloniki and Alicante). If you stay in Sofia, take the opportunity to eat an excellent pizza prepared with 100% Italian ingredients (weekly supplies of burrata, mozzarella and cured meats). Highly recommended!
