If you like your beer then you'll love this place. It's a small bar with a large selection of beer, craft and cask. We were spoilt for choice but what selections we made were great.
The barman was a great help too. He put us onto Skarabar round the corner as a good local place to eat. He wasn't wrong

Full of choices for ale aficionados - it had a wonderful choice of lagers and ales including cask ale .
Nice to find a completely non smoking place and the theme is British beers - pints served

After seeing lots of Churches and Cathedrals what better place to visit than this superb quiet bar in the afternoon? The five of us old school friends in our early 60's had about 4 different beers from this large selection of excellent beers. The barman explained that for one of the beers they only brew about 200 litres! We had an excellent time and I fully recommend a visit!

Good choice of craft beers. But the bar opens and closes when the owner wants. Also owner is not the most friendly person which is quite unusual for craft pubs. There was some unpleasant trash metal playing but not loud. Suggested to change music to something more cheerful (still heavy metal) and got an answer "this is beer bar not a disco". Next day I did not go there as it is not pleasant to visit place where the barmen has a gloomy face of a person who is unhappy with his life. High rating only for beer choice.

This was my first time in Bulgaria and I was eagerly looking forward to visiting some of the great sites the city of Sofia has to offer and enjoy the great craft beer scene I had read up about and BiraBar was up there with some of the best bars I visited in this most eclectic of city's.
Walking in and I knew I would enjoy my visit here, a light and airy interior, great decor and furnishings including all manner of beer ephemera adorning the walls, a cool looking serving bar and plenty of seating options spread throughout this bar but what set it apart for me was the fact that this bar in the middle of Sofia served real ale ,noticed the pumps as soon as I walked in ,the bar was packed with a great atmosphere, my brother and I decided to try Fuller's Brewery " London pride ale " 4.1% ,and I must say they were served in absolutely pristine condition, we luckily managed to get a table were we just kicked back, chilled out and sipped our real ales.
I really am a big fan of real ale's, been a member of C.A.M.R.A for many many years and I must say these real ales were good,a rich, well balanced ale ,bursting with taste, very easy to drink indeed, it was just so good being in such a wonderful bar sampling great real ale's.
We both really enjoyed our real ales in here and the great vibe so much so that we ended up staying for another one each before we moved on and for a first time visit to BiraBar we couldn't have been more impressed.
BiraBar is easy to locate along Ul. Paris.
Opening hours are;
Monday to Friday, 12 30pm till 11pm.
Saturday & Sunday, 2pm till 11.30pm.
An absolutely fantastic real ale and craft beer bar and most definitely well worth checking out if your planning a trip to Sofia and you have an interest in great beers.

I did not expect to see British cask ale in Sofia but here it is. And properly looked after and served. They also have interesting Bulgarian cask ale, and Bulgarian craft ale as well. Great place, good prices, nice people and fairly central (a short walk from Alexander Nevski). Well worth a visit - but it is a bar not a restaurant.

Friendly bar with a great selection of beers on tap as well as bottles. A few other spirits. I don't think they sell food but a number of patrons seem to have brought in Sushi from a sushi bar.
No lager available but plenty of great beers at reasonable prices.

Great little bar with a fair few craft brews. Staff were very helpful and polite. Music wasn't too loud either.

This place is well worth a visit if you are into craft beers. They have a changing row of taps, when I was here it was a couple of Bulgarian beers and one from the UK, and it looks like they are active within the brewing community. Well worth dropping in to for a pint.

Excellent beers on tap - not traditional ones. Premium british and local craft beers too. The service could be a littble bit better.

Here you can refill with a pint of great beer. Small, pub alike place with three beers on tap - wither craft or imported ales.
