Poor hygiene and no Covid19 precautions. The waiter did not wear a mask, gloves or helmet, touched everything with his hands, opened our water with dirty hands, the utensils were not well washed and we had to ask for new ones. He allowed himself to...show our dishes to other guests before bringing them to us. There are much safer places in Sofia and I would not go there again.More

Very enjoyable meal while in Sofia at Moma, the setting in the outside courtyard was pleasant , the menu was good and the service was excellent. Started with some traditional Bulgarian salads, both were delicious , beautifully presented , interesting textures and tasted so fresh,...the grilled cheese complimented my salad. Main of pork shank was enormous, the shank deboned in front of me and the bone taken away, it was a fine feast served with potato mash, the lamb was equally good, served with baby onions and spinach and a slice of cheese pie, everything was super and just full of flavor, nothing was too spicy. Compliments to the chef. Wine was reasonably priced and finished the meal with some local brandies, perfect end to the meal. Service was attentive and spot on. Great location just off the main shopping street so it was easy to find and lots of other bars and nightlife nearby making it a great spot for a taste of modern Bulgarian cooking if in Sofia. You can also request to book online from their website in advance of your trip which is useful too.More

This place is good for tourists looking to try typical Bulgarian food and wine with servers who speak English. The food was not the best representation of Bulgarian dishes I've had, but you get to try a lot of variety and the waiters are nice...and attentive. The wine list also features Bulgarian wines with native varietals. They are not very subtle about their desire to be tipped, which kind of turned me off since tipping isn't customary in Buglaria and seemed like they try to take advantage of tourists. But overall a decent experience. We did the two-person menu and it was way too much food and literally took almost 3 hours.More

Very nicely decorated with Bulgarian art and crafts. Delicious food with premium service (very knowledgeable waiters, e.g., regarding suitable accompanying wines).

Super cool place Great fusion of modern and tradition with great Bulgarian food and wine. Friendly staff and very reasonable prices (340 Euro for 10 people with starter, main, wine, beers, water and coffee). The place itself is fancy but with traditional roots. We will...come backMore
