Goat cheese and honey was delicious, lamb was dry and lacked taste, performances felt forced and lacked the typical traditional excitement. Underwhelming at best.

Wasn't sure where to go for our last meal in Sofia. As this place had some good reviews we decided to try it and we weren't disappointed. The staff were great, the dancers were extraordinary and the singers made our hairs stand on end. Huge menu and a wide variation of drinks made it perfect.Would definitely recommend.

We had an enjoyable night out at Chevermeto. Starte selection was really great and the baked apple for desert was excellent too. The roasted suckling for mains however was rather bland and dry. But one does not go there for fine dining anyway - and the folk songs and dances were nice to get a little impression of Bulgarian traditional... More

We are a family of 5 with 3 young children, and we really enjoyed our night here. There is a nightly cultural program. There are singers as well as dancers in traditional costumes. In the winter months, check before you go to ensure they will have the dancers as well. Recommend reservations in advance, and arrive around 8 pm. The... More

This is one of the most individual restaurants I have ever eaten in. The menu is vast- and I mean vast- order a drink when you peruse the wide range of offerings. We went for ayvar to start- a kind of cold tomato and cheese puree which was great with the freshly baked bread. Next- goats cheese coated in honey... More

We came here to watch the program of Bulgarian music and dances and to enjoy the food. We took that nice typical bread parlenka with garlic and a small appetizer with rakija, afterwards we took the suckling pig the speciality of the house. The bread and appetizers were delicious the pig a little bit dry ! The program was very... More

Top traditional cousine! The restaurant offers a show of traditional dances, and all waiters wear traditional Bulgarian clothes. The menu is very wide, and the dishes I tried (grilled meats) were fantastic. It's definitely a must go to place.

"The Bulgarian restaurant Chevermeto - whatever your heart may wish!" Restaurant Chevermeto combines authentic atmosphere, dishes prepared according old receipts and a folklore show.

Every evening a whole lamb is roasted on fire as "cheverme", where the name of the restaurant comes from.

20:30 - Bulgarian Folklore Singers
21:00 - Bulgarian Traditional Dance Ensemble " Goce Delchev "
22:00 - Bulgarian Singers

If you want to be in a traditional Bulgarian atmosphere, to taste typical Bulgarian dishes, to learn the steps of the traditional dance "straight horo" and even one folk song together with the siners and the dancers of the folk show - you will find all of these.

If you wonder where to take your friends, you can bring them to Chevermeto, the way it is done by ministers, presidents, royalties and celebrities.
