From outside I didn’t like the place; It is just below a big buiding, not so nice sight; However I had been sugested that place, so I entered anyhow Interior is quite nice, traditional like environment; I asked the waiter about the most typical plate they had, as I did in all other restaurant during my stay in Sofia; I also specified that I want to taste something light, since I was not really hungry I have received a lamb plate: despite I specified that I want something light, the plate was very big, and also extremly fat meat..: as matter of fact, half the portion was pure fat. On the other hand, of course it was one of most expensive plate in the menu… Moreover, mixed to the meat I also found a 10cm piece of plastic envelope (probabily where the lamb roll was storaged)… Ok, this can happen… Service quite “aseptic”, nothing special ENJOY AND KEEP TASTING

Usually when we have guests outside Bulgaria, I take them to Chevermeto (ambient and folklore show). This time show was not happening, probably because of Covid. But unfortunately food was also not good as usually. We had several traditional appetiser dishes and garlic bread a side. Dishes were fine but garlic bread was cold and without spices. For main we had lamb, veal and pork dish. Again dishes were almost cold, taste was ok, but meat was tough. Not sure if that was veal, probably beef! Unfortunately this time restaurant did not meet my expectations, probably I should recognise that, since only 3 table were fulfilled for dinner (including ours)

We had a reservation in hopes to see a traditional folklore Bulgarian dance + trying their typical cuisine. Reaching the restaurant, we were greeted by the very accomodating host/manager. As she guided us, we were amazed with how the restaurant was tastefully designed. You really have that Bulgarian vibe. From plates, to covers etc. Unfortunately, that night its a different performance. A beautiful singer that feels like serenading you while you're eating with their folklore music. 2nd set people were dancing and its like seeing a traditional dance that we initilly was eyeing for this dinner. It was amazing to say the lease! Now, let's talk aboit that food. Their spicy pork ears + lamb face stew is a must! These with their seabass + the food my husband ordered really melted in our mouths. You can't get over it! PS. Their food are made to perfection and would require time to be made. So please, be patient. I would say its worth the wait ^_^

Food was bad quality, just good for the eye but bad taste. The only good was the life music. After the waiter noticed we were english speaking, he pushed the price up 3 times higher, we found put later. We don't mind to pay more if it is really good, but even in Western Europe we never pay so much, not even in good restaurants. We paid 77 Euros for an awful under average meal and drinks. You can get much friendlier restaurants with much better meals for about 25 Euros for two! Just avoid this place, all they want is your money.

We had an amazing dinner. Great appetizers and amazing meat. The service was beyond pleasent, we got recommendations for main dishes and the food was ready almost immediately. I think the price for what we had was cheap to average. All in all I would recommend this restaurant for any type of after ski dinner.

With my wife and some dear friends, we spent New Year's Eve 2023 in this beautiful location, having an excellent experience. Typical traditional Bulgarian restaurant, with a warm, welcoming and joyful atmosphere, where we consumed excellent Bulgarian food and spent a beautiful and cheerful evening, characterized by typical Bulgarian music and dances. The dishes we consumed were all of excellent quality and the service was impeccable. Although the place was full, the spaces between the tables and the one dedicated to dancing were absolutely more than enough. Furthermore, being the only Italians present, we received a special welcome, highlighted by the DJ, who greeted us publicly and played some songs from the Italian classical repertoire. A beautiful New Year's Eve!

Really nice place with traditional furnishings. The cuisine is really good served in traditional decorated dishes, as are the dances and songs. A fantastic way to get in tune with the customs of this country!! The cost of the dinner is truly negligible if you also consider the entire show included. Friendly and helpful staff, fast and efficient service. In short, it's impossible to ask for more! If you are in Sofia you absolutely must try this restaurant!!!!!

Very nice Bulgarian Traditional Restaurant. Good food and good service. Starters are much more tasty than the main courses. Try the Choochki (pepper) stuffed with cheese, the fresh salad and the Lootiniza salad (roasted mixed peppers ). The garlic bread was wonderful. The atmosphere was warm and lovely. The beans soup was a little dull. The fish wasn’t fresh but defrosted from the freezer. In conclusion, very nice restaurant and lovely food. Recommended 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻

Wow! My wife and I were looking forward to evening of traditional food and dancing in Sofia, and despite some mixed reviews we settled on Chevermeto – and it was an inspired decision. The restaurant, quiet upon arrival, soon filled up and we were treated to a wonderful evening of singing and traditional dancing in a warm, relaxed, family atmosphere. It was really popular and the entertainers made the guests feel welcome and free to join in after the formal dancing had finished. The real highlight however was the food which was outstanding. I ordered chicken stuffed with a cheese, mushroom and pickle sauce, served with mash and grilled vegetables. It was delicious and coupled with good Bulgarian wine and friendly hosts we enjoyed a perfect evening. Thoroughly recommended.

We visited this restaurant several times during our stay in Bansko. The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly! They were more than happy to accommodate our dietary needs and provide us with vegan food. We had a really tasty bean soup, rice, roasted potatoes and garlic bread!

Superb experience at this restaurant! The meal is excellent and very good value for money. There is also a complete wine list with only Bulgarian wines: discovery guaranteed! The show costs 5lev per person but the atmosphere is well worth this price to be in the middle of the Bulgarian atmosphere: participation in traditional dances is even possible because Bulgarians all tend to go dancing! We highly recommend this establishment.

Avoid. Meat very fatty, undercooked, lacking taste. First course was good but main disgusting. Service ok but my vegan friend is still waiting for her second course.entertainment mediocre, really amateurish. Save your money, go elsewhere.

Chevermeto is a nice restaurant. Although music might be too loud and dancing could be more professional, the place is very nice and welcoming. It is has a very special atmosphere. We did not dine at many places in Sofia, but definitely enjoyed Chevermeto.

I agree with the earlier review by Athena, probably on the same tour group trip as we are. The appetizer was delicious. The pork with potatoes were good but could’ve had more flavor. The apple desert was very good. The entertainment was really good and they encouraged audience participation. All in all, an enjoyable evening of this sort .

Super restaraunt for dinner with traditional food with live music and atmosphere. Prices are also good. With the live music you are feeling like you are become one of them. The style of the restaraund is very interesting and nice. He immerses you deeply in bulgarian culture and way of life. You feel like one of them. Excelent!!!
