My friend and I were in Sofia for a short weekend only, but I can tell you without any doubts that this is perhaps the nicest place we have been to. Not only for the delicious food, but also for the kindness shown by the staff - not very common in Sofia unfortunately, for our own experience. The atmosphere is chill and very authentic, with plate, table cloths and music belonging to Bulgarian tradition - it felt like being at home or at someone else's home! Very tasty Bulgarian cuisine and incredibly friendly service! We tried shopska salad, tarator, veal tongue with mushrooms, stuffed peppers and a type of minced meat sausage and everything was excellent and fresh. We also had a bottle of Bulgarian white wine and water. Definitely worth a visit if you are in Sofia and appreciate traditional cuisine. We also felt very welcome, even though we were the only guests. It's a shame for the restaurant owners that it was so empty.

Typical Bulgarian cuisine restaurant. Absolutely acceptable prices and the dishes create that mix between Eastern Europe and the Middle East which is nothing other than the atmosphere of Sofia!

We got to the restaurant just before 7 and we didn't have a reservation, but they were really nice and let us have a quick dinner!! So it's definitely recommended to book a table for dinner. They had lovely traditional Bulgarian meals and it was great value for money. I had the cabbage rolls with mince and the rice pudding for dessert. My friend had the veal mousaka and the home made ice cream. Everything was delicious!!!!
