I've visited the place several times and it gets worse and worse. The waitresses never know what happens around, they are slow and incompetent. Once they have messed up the order at all, once they brought me uncooked pasta (I don't mean al dente, I...mean uncooked) and when I told them the answer was: I can't do anything. And last, the pizza was with burnt crust- the answer was " at least you won't have stomachache"... Very disappointing, because the atmosphere seems to be very nice, but nothing more. High prices for poor quality food and service.More

Not my first time here and I was left with the impression of good food and cozy interior after my first visit. This is still relevant now but the service is very poor ... where do I start. Order G&T, got the lemonade (s to...replace the tonic which is not stocked which I am absolutely fine with) but the gin is out of stock. Probably best to check if I still require the lemonade as I would need to change my drink of choice. When we ordered an extra bottle of wine 27 minutes before the closing time, the waitress refused to serve us as she explained the staff is currently closing the books for today ... Don't get me wrong - the food is delicious and the place is really nice but please train or change your staff.More

Food was very nice overall. However, my husband's spaghetti arrived 10 minutes before the pizzas for the rest of us. By the time we all started eating his meal was quite cold. Waitress was not attentive enough – we were a mixed company, half Bulgarian,...half English. Menus given were only in Bulgarian and despite my stretched arm (for about 3-4minutes) neither she nor her colleague turned to us to ask what the problem was. We wanted freshly squeezed juice (on the menu) but we were told that it is not available. Other juices were offered instead. Quality of “juices” was incredibly poor, with gel-like substance at the bottom of the glasses. We tried to dissolve with extra water and drink that. It was not pleasant at all, tasting like slightly flavoured water. We did not leave a tip and we tried to talk to the waitress about the juices. She pointed out that they were lemonades (she did not mentioned that when she recommended them) and they were on a separate little bit of paper tucked in the main menu. Then she got defensive regarding the quality of the drinks. Not a good first impression, I doubt it that we will visit again despite La Bottega being 5 min away from the place we stay every summer.More

I am a frequent visitor for lunch as I work nearby and kind of like the setting of the restaurant and the food was never that bad as the night I visited. I had friends coming over from France to visit me and decided to...give the restraurant a chance to become a spot I like for dinners. This is a huge mistake: 1. Waited for the wine to be served 35 mins after everyone got their drinks. 2. The two very young waiters did really know the wines. 3. The avocado of my friend's salad was overdue, dark and it tasted awful- returned it. 4. They claim Buratta with truffle inside when the actually the truffle is just an oil drop on top, we consulted with the waiter before ordering- had to return it. 5. The pasta with spinach super salty, can't eat it. 6. My pasta with the seabass did not have any taste at all. 7. Filling up the glasses of wine was a mirage. Overall pizzas and salads were good but honestly, I expected more from the restaurant, I will definitely not recommend it to anyone.More

with some rare exceptions, I was almost never disappointed. As a frequent visitor I can say that the food and wines are at a really good level. One of Sofia's higher-grade restaurants you can count on when you are not in the mood for experiments.

There are 4 tables with customers, ours one of them and we are waiting almost one hour for 2 pizzas.

We've just arrived in Sofia and we were looking for a restaurant for dinner and this place was perfect! The food was great, quality-price was very good and the waitress was very nice! Strongly recommended!

It was a pretty cool night, alright? I had fun, so did my friends. We were having a late birthday dinner, so we decided to go somewhere quiet and small, so to feel more intimate, more personal. La Bottega Prima was the perfect place. The...food is really delicious and you know it is made by fresh home-grown products. It is following Italian recipes, but all the fresh products are from Bulgaria, and so is all the meat, which was finger-licking good (the prosciutto there was the best I've eaten, and I've been to Italy a lot). It might be a bit overpriced, but for such an event it was definitely worth it. The only con was that there wasn't enough space inside, as the restaurant is indeed quite small. During the summer that is not a problem at all, especially at night, when the city cools down a bit from the burning heat, but at winter, you should definitely make a reservation. Otherwise, perfect service, friendly people, and great meals. Highly recommended!More

've been at this place several times and each time it lefts me with mixed feeling. The last visit was again twofold... The food is good, yes, but it is far from exceptional. On the other hand, the prices are quite high, and the size...of the portions is really small. I have never been gourmand, but 3 tomatoes and a dip of rucola, to be called a salad?!More
