Great Brunch

I would definitely suggest going there to one of their unique brunches they offer every Sunday with different type's of World Kitchen's. The one I visited was Thai Brunch and I immensely enjoyed the food there. There was a decent amount of variety and it was not pricey at all to eat as much as you want. The place gets filled up really fast so I suggest making a reservation as soon as possible. The only negative thing was that the service time was incredibly slow from the waiter's and sometimes it took awhile for them to refill the food(the strawberry pudding was snatched in an instant they put it on the table so that part I can forgive) Also when I called to make a reservation they informed me to call tomorrow? Not sure what that was about lol.

How the mighty have fallen.

Update 10/31/22: Sadly this place has fallen a bit from our previous visit. The Brunch in a Swedish style table has been replaced with one of a smaller menu which you have to pay individually. The quality of the food has dropped while the prices are staying the same. The bathroom is in just an awful state and if you visit in the weekend theres not that much in a variety of food (mostly asian dishes).

Nice place in sofia

Nice place in the heart of Sofia. Extremely lovely interior, English speaking staff and tasty food makes this restaurant as a nice option both for business or just leasure visit. I tried there the octopus, my partner enjoyed steak, and finished with nice coffee. Prices are not cheap as for Bulgaria, but I can say it was fair. I will definitely go there again. I recommend this place for sure

WORST restaurant ever!

Terrible restaurant. Over priced, the taste is ok - nothing more, very small dishes, and the service is the worst! We received the main course, 1 minute after the appetizers were served. The main course arrived with no garnish (although it was written in the menu that it arrives with rice). The second main course on the other hand, didn’t arrive at all!! Finding a waiter is a very hard task, since they just disappear! After ~15 minutes of waiting, the waiter told us that it was “kitchen mistake”. Do yourself a favor - and stay away!!

The WORST PLACE where you can spend your money!

First of all, i will start with the service - personel Is impolite and rude. The prices are very very high. Food is terribly bad and there is no choice of wines, salads, main dishesh. Nothing. I highly reccommend you not to visit Koto. In addition, they lie about reservations and you should spent at least 500levs in order to have a nice table.

not worth a visit

definitely not worth it. Overpriced is fine, if the food is worth it... it wasnt. Spring rolls fried in last years oil, smelly, etc, and a duck magret burnt to a cinder on the outside and really sinewy and tough on the inside... that's 2 out of four items ordered... the salad and ribs were fine.

One of the finest dining experiences I have ever enjoyed. Top quality service, the freshest of ingredients assembled to perfection. Bulgaria is yet to have a Michelin Star restaurant however, Koto in my opinion, would be a true contender.

modern restaurant on top level

The place has a very modern interior but in the same time very cozy. It is split in 2 rooms, the first one is bigger it has a huge bar and very nice social atmosphere. The concept is similar to Zuma or Sexy fish in London. Amazing contemporary dishes with Japanese or Asian touch. Last time I had a lunch: a beautiful served bento box for starter and the most delicious swordfish with asparagus that i ever had in my life. I was expecting a dry fish but this one was super juicy and the sauce was so tender. I was so impressed by the chef so i checked him found he worked in some of the best restaurants in Washington, LA and London. The desserts are sophisticated. The next hall is called Chefs room, it is with degustation menus. First time i visited the place i was invited to a special event of Louis Roederer presenting several amazing champagnes, including Cristal. Chef Yaneff prepared special dish, inspired from each of the different wines. It was an extraordinary experience. This is absolutely the place where i want to return and to recommend to everyone.

Pleasant restaurant with friendly staff. Good food

The food was mainly international with Asian overtones. Service was quite speedy and continued to be attentive. Drinks and food were brought quickly. The food was of very good quality and ws enjoyable.

Bad food, worse service

Seafood was rubber, ribs were raw and cold. Had to chase down someone to get service. If there are not enough chefs or servers, I would rather be turned away at the door rather than spend 150lev on ill prepared food.

Hot day,shelter behind a small maple tree.

I only wanted something light so ventured in. When I revealed I was a solo snacker they kindly gave me a seat on the decking, immediately behind a small maple tree. The black glass?surrounding the decking means you have no view of the square in front of you. But I shared this space with the maple- so was not really alone. I had a fine negroni and a roast artichoke with a bed of mint and peas. It was delicious,but as I had eaten earlier on this was all I had. It was quiet when I was there in late afternoon.i found the service friendly and understanding and marked thus as a future place to eat.
