Really lovely neighbourhood restaurant. Varied but not overly expansive menu full of what tasted like first class home Bulgarian cooking. Good variety of wines and craft beers on the menu, the latter of which could be paired with suggested food items. Slightly outside the city...centre, perfectly situated for those staying at the Hilton.More

Definitely worth making an effort to find this lovely restaurant off the beaten track. Our food was wonderful and very generous portions. Plenty of beers to chose from. The waitress was wonderful and nothing was too much trouble. The place was clean and casual. There...is also an amazingly well behaved cat which just sat there looking at you and was so incredibly friendly. One of the best restaurants we visited in Sofia.More

My best friend took me to a bunch of restaurants that he LOVED over the years when in Sofia and MOST were… not as good as he remembered and at various levels of decent-to-pretty-good for me. This restaurant was the only one he took me...to that actually lived up to the hype. I loved my dishes and really liked that they had good, interesting vegetarian options. I got the spicy dip appetizer and stuffed veggie aubergine main dish. Both were great. And he got the beef and pork meatballs which he really liked as well. They also had interesting beers - I got the kinky afro which was very good. Overall a very pleasant experience.More

The pork cheeks we ordered were absolutely delicious. Also the starter and the dessert (cheesecake made from sheep‘s milk with blueberries - yummy!) were great. There is a large selection of craft beers and recommendations how to pair them with the foods. So everything great...concerning the culinary experience… but… In the beginning we really felt very bad. We had booked a table by phone because it’s a bit outside the city center. When we arrived the two ladies there wanted to seat us in a separate room in the basement, very separated und steril, no-one else there. We really did not like it. When we asked if it would be possible to change, we even would be willing to wait a bit until somebody else leaves, the just said „no“, no discussion possible. Even if they were still free tables in the main guest room, as we clearly saw. So we left and discussed outside at the street corner where to go instead. Then one af the ladies came towards us, telling us we could come now, because „somebody had paid now“. From what we had observed a strange explanation… so we wondered what had made them change their opinion… So we took the opportunity. The food was really worth it, but it still left a not so good feeling… especially as there was at least one free table all the time we were dining there…More

A nice friendly place to enjoy good beer and food. The service was excellent, the range of craft beer was superb, and the food quality was excellent. For my visit, I tried the vegetarian food, which was some of the best I have had. The...portion was perhaps not the biggest, but I think this is probably just good for the health. Prices are perhaps a bit higher than average, but well worth the cost. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting the city and who enjoys unique beers paired with good food.More

The BEST food we had in Sofia! Refined Bulgarian dishes with nods to tradition but modern twists. Everything was superbly high quality and fresh. I have never had such delicious sauces made with beer! And the chestnut puree....wow. Still thinking about this every day! Completely...delicious. The craft beers here are AMAZING. I was lucky enough to try a really unique wild ale that I've never tasted anything like before. The beers are all paired with the food on the menu, too. Everything here is brilliantly thought out. If you have a chance to talk to Ivo, the owner, you should! He's a really cool guy and cares a lot about the food and of course the beers. If you like craft beer you should definitely check out this place in Sofia.More

On the last night of a working trip to Sofia, found this place thanks to their good reviews and especially for being pretty close to our hotel. It's not easy to bump on it but it is definitely worth a visit. Fresh food, fish, calamari,...aubergine and pork were tasty, well presented, smelling great. The local crafted beers, one of the reasons we chose the place, make them shine. Will visit again next time.More

The restaurant is definitely overrated. The main courses are not complete, there are barely any side dish, you have to order them separately and it really bumps up the price. How can a big person be satisfied with just a salad accompanying the meat balls??...Staff is a b it rude as well. Overall not a great experience and would not recommend.More

It is a nice neighborhood restaurant. The two salads were wholesome yet light. Service was prompt and efficient. The restaurant is located in a peaceful setting with grapevines overhead in the heart of Sofia. The prices were a bit on the high end. But overall...we had a great experience and it is a nice place.More

After a bit of research before we left we decided on this restaurant and booked a table at 8.30pm. We ate a massive late lunch so I wasn't overly hungry so we shared a starter, Grilled Goats Cheese with Strawberries which was well presented and...tasted even better. The mains arrived, I opted for the Duck Magret which again I can't say enough good things about, my partner (vegetarian) went for the Chee Kofti which again blew away our expectations. We were well and truly full but had to have a dessert to share because we knew it would be amazing. We opted for the Cheesecake and unsurprisingly it tasted exceptional. So the food was first class, but what about the service, first class, the waitress (I apologise as I forgot her name) was talkative and seemed genuinely concerned that I hadn't eaten all of my main (it was the fat off the duck) and took pride in her job. The cost of this including two bottled ciders was just over £40.00 which is almost impossible to get my head around. A fantastic experience all round and a great way to finish off our first day in Sofia, highly recommended.More
